Hello everyone!

Hello everyone,

Nice to be here with everyone. I am here to learn and hopefully one day launch a legit site that can be a kinda portfolio piece.

I got some experience in:
graphic design,
photography,
& video production.

I am:
computer literate.
Learning basic coding skills, currently HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT + JQUERY.

I have:
video production equipment,
a midgrade workstation,
Website hosting,
some domains,
& some free time.

aI can make various types of content and would love to one day actually make some money but for now I have so much learning to do based on how I been lurking

Site Building, SEO, Affiliate marketing, cpa, cpm, etc... all of that is SO DEEP. You guys seem ahead of the game and I worked in SEO very briefly for a major corporation a long time ago so I am excited to catch up.

I never introduced myself om a forum before but after scratching the surface on all this I am seriously interested in doing this even if it is just a side project for me.

That all said
Any tips for a new member here as to where I should start the journey?

Welcome, I just saw my old Windows95 for Dummies the other day.

I guess you could start at GFY Educational Series - GoFuckYourself.com - Adult Webmaster Forum if I understand the question.

Windows95Plus 01-06-2021 08:52 PM

Great reply, glad you suggested it. I been all in that section which is why I figure its gonna take a while before I can really understand how to actually do anything.

If you can tell me,

Which thread in that section you would think is the most important for someone starting out from 0?

also nice avatar, reminds me to go hit the boof!

Sorry, I don't know you or the article's content well enough to make that determination.

It depends on what exactly you're looking for or what you are planning.
There are tons of topics you can dig into, and competition is tough.

Maybe you start with Know your target market, following with Know your competition.

Windows95Plus 01-07-2021 02:13 AM

Thanks for the advice! Yeah seems like even if I find a niche, i really gotta find a way to target that audience properly and effectively almost like the 1st time or its a waste. Competition seems like one of the largest obstacles too.

😑😑😑😑

Long nights ahead

Jägermeister 01-07-2021 02:47 AM

With the right niche and target audience you can still achieve something.

Good luck and if you start thinking about monetization keep me in mind :pimp

videos are replacing images as the main content. the more amature, with no edits, the better. drama is king. next in order of importance: dicks.

I think a 'strong, but limited' niche will do well on only fans..... go to a clip store, see what the top houses are producing and pattern an only fans account on what you find.....

Hey ya, welcome!

If you´re looking for a portfolio kind of site, you could start with purpleport if it´s for images and if your own tech, why not take up a WP site and just start from the beginning, a project descriptive page informing people what you do. A page with some examples, maybe a few sub sections, the different types of coding, a page for questions and answers, sort of forum like, so you can communicate with your followers and surfers, people love to interact these days! And of course, a contact page...

good luck with your venture :thumbsup

None of that is a bad idea. It will probably take me a minute to figure all that out. Realistically, I would probably need to find a webdev to build alot of all of that PROPERLY since my main skills right now are more in content creation and social media management. I am leaning toward live-video content also. But before I get ahead of myself I am still here hitting the web trying to learn. So thanks!

tbh, a WP site is very simple, you can purchase a domain name from any hosting company from hostgator to namecheap, an interesting place to purchase a domain name and host your site is https://porkbun.com/

anyway, once you have done this, you would upload WP to the server and unpack the package. From there, it´s pretty straight forward, the database is set up and you can upload content and scripts, you can update your addons and theme.

Obviously there´s more to it, but it´s pretty simple compared to designing your own website :thumbsup

Welcome, great choice in OS.

Knowing where to start is depending what you want out of this industry, wanting to make money in adult is not enough - you need to get more specific and this will help you know where to start.

If you have no idea then I would suggest looking at first at the different ways you can make money in adult.

Theres the whole world behind the camera, as well as infront. From site owners, content producers, promoters, affiliates, platform creators, actors, models, lawyers etc - it would not be wize to try learn or master all of the facets.

Sounds like you're leaning towards the content creation but this also takes many forms you can create your own, you can work with other peoples, or both

TL:DR > get a clear idea of what you really want, then you will be able to ask more specific questions, and figure out who can help with that!

:2 cents:

I'm in a very similar situation but my experience is 21yrs in IT. Also absorbing info as fast as I can! A bit further than you on site setup, etc.. but weak on some of the stuff you're good at.

You in Florida by any chance?
