Somehow too fast. You should have about 2 months of immunity after the previous case, IMHO.

Useless Warrior 01-17-2021 04:25 PM

Maybe it's AIDS.

No, I never took a test but the first time I got aching at the back of my legs (knees) and lost my taste and smell.
Today, same thing. I have aching at the back of my legs and my coffee tasted bitter.

I don't need a test. I know it's covid.

Well, it's nearly 2 months, Last time was end of October - Halloween.

adultchatpay 01-17-2021 10:18 PM

Get vaccinated.
I heard stories of people getting re-infected and the 2nd hit is worst than the first one.

Just because you lost sense of taste and smell doesn't mean it's covid - it's not unique to covid... I lost sense of taste or smell at least 3 times in my life from various flu/whatever infections long before covid :thumbsup

And get sick of it for a few days to be safe for yet another two months, right? :upsidedow Do you understand that the protection effect of the vaccine won't least forever? It also works for a few months only.

Sergio 01-18-2021 01:50 AM

You definitely need a vaccine Bro

Scott McD 01-18-2021 02:51 AM

So. Never had a test, but know you've had covid. Twice.

Klen 01-18-2021 05:11 AM

Maybe you had normal covid first time and now it's british covid lol . But you still need to get tested to be 100% sure, not good to speculate.

Pink24 01-18-2021 05:21 AM

The first time I got covid I was refused a test because there was too much demand apparently and they were only testing critical care workers.
Anyway, it was pretty short lived because my taste has returned today.

Weird virus.

Well , the thing is , scientists cannot agree yet how immune system is working.
First we have claim how immune system work 6 months after first infection.
But then we have cases of re-infection in much less time period.
Then they also says how they checked blood for anti bodies and there was none of it inside, which make it same as you never had it.
Then then say how you should be still be able to defend despite no anti-bodies because immune system recognize it and generate new anti-bodies.
So that is what possibly happened to you.

How in the hell can you come on here and make such a loaded statement when you have absolutely no idea what you had, if anything, before?

You may have had COVID the entire time, you may have had something else, you may just have some issues that need therapy.

What your statement ought to have been is: I have recently been medically diagnosed with COVID by a qualified, certified medical professional. Two months ago, I had noticed some symptoms that I assumed were similar to COVID symptoms, but, not being a trained physician or possessing of any knowledge in any medical field at all, I remain properly skeptical of my own diagnosis.

Ok, let me try and answer your question. For clarity.

For Halloween I had some visitors come to stay. They came from another country. The day after they arrived I and my wife both got symptoms (the same symtoms which tell you to self isolate).
We both lost our sense of taste and small and we we both had a mild fever and we both had some aching limbs.
You can check my previous posts around the beginning of November if you don't believe me.

The visitors stayed a couple of days and when they got home they too got symptoms. They managed to get checked and tested positive. We on the other hand tried to get a test bit it was denied.

Sure, it may be some other mystery virus but, I have never in my life lost my sense of taste and smell before. The same as my wife and I never before had this dull ache at the back of my legs.
I also had a mild, dry cough which lasted but a day.

So, it wasn't a loaded statement. It was a belief (although unproven) that I did, in fact have Covid.

I now have the same symptoms which. may or not be Covid however, again, I believe it is.

That said, I am not a doctor or trained physician or possessing of any knowledge in any medical field at all, I remain properly skeptical of my own diagnosis.

Hope that clears things up for you.

Saying something that makes no sense and then claiming you just know, makes you look dumb. I know the current political climate has taught this is effective but most people see it as foolish. Just an FYI.

Got COVID in december
15% Lungs demage.
I cannot walk along the street without shortness of breath more than 2 km, damn. So i spend 99% time in a home now and do work)
I take Vit C (250mg), D (3200E/daily), Selen&Cink, and i was taking some time Eliquis (a doctor who visited me once said i need to take it (a prescription medicine used to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots). I also took 3 antibiotics (yeah!) at the same time, when on day 8 the temperature began to grow strongly. You know what.. the strangest thing of COVID is floating temperature - it may be 36.7 some time and 38 within a hour! and it's scary. waking up at night measuring the temperature without understanding whether you have heat or not. I called ambulance once when i felt a very strong heartbeat ( i dont have any troubles with my heart and sometimes i visit GYM) and a pressure but they decided to stay me at home.

Now i feel fine, but as i said it is hard to walk along longer than 30-40 mins. Thinking to visit a med to check a heart in a month.

Pink24, Good luck! Hope you get better quick

What you have sounds awful. Luckily for me my symptoms are more or less asymptomatic.
One thing I have noticed is my sex drive if off the charts at the moment. Think it's related.

My favorite thing about 2021 is people, who present no evidence they actually exist at all, smugly writing like knowing who they are is a badge of special something, and spouting off about their possibly fictional health.

You're right. I don't exist. Neither do you probably. Who here can actually say they even exist or have actually existed even before?
The thought is a puzzling one, surely.

I don't even know what to say to this. I think you might need to see a shaman. I wish you well nevertheless, and I hope you quarantine for caution's sake.

Well, my avatar is a photograph of me and numerous people in this forum have hung out with me IRL and have done business with me. Tons of people have hung out with baddog as well etc.

You, on the other hand, make a thing about how someone would have to be really in-the-know to know who you are, which you just are not very convincing with.

And then you make silly posts about politicized covid, outside the politics forum.

Yep. Checks out. You seem like a totally genuine dude who is, for sure, a real person and 100% in our industry.
