what's a good and inexpensive domain registrar?
I'm something simple, reliable and inexpensive.
I've already got hosting so I'm just looking to buy a couple of domains. |

Normally I would say Namesilo, and they are good if you want no nonsense pricing and user interface.
Namecheap used to be the goto registrar but they're a little bit pricier now and their interface is a little bit "overdesigned". However.... A couple of months ago my Namecheap account was hacked and my card used to buy some shitty chinese sounding domains, because I hadn't bothered turning on 2FA. I only discovered when I checked my emails in the morning and found an order summary listing these domains in it. But even before I could even compose an email to support and send it, their risk management system had noticed the unusual transaction, reversed it, refunded my card, and locked my account. It did take them quite a long time to unlock it again, maybe lots of accounts got hacked, but anyway the fact that there was absolutely no hassle in reversing the whole thing makes me happy to keep some domains at Namecheap. |

Now, fix your sig, dammit. https://gfy.com/gfy-rules-and-regula...gulations.html Signature rules. Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 lines of text. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Yes there is a reason this is so big. Also putting your text in a cell and making it look like a button is against the rules. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more than 3 lines of text. Over the top sigs will be deleted without warning! . |

You can save 20% on Namecheap renewals with a coupon :winkwink: |
My vote goes to Namecheap, Namesilo & Porkbun.
Pick any out of the three and they fucking rock. I have come to love Namesilo & Porkbun more than Namecheap lately. Porkbun has terrific support. No two ways about it. |
Not for the OP but anyone buying bulk domains I use Domain Name Service-CNOBIN.COM Set yourself up as your own register

There are several like it. resellerclub.com - enom.com - opensrs.com etc. that allow API access at better prices. You're not a registrar - there is zero accreditation of any sort. You're just a reseller. If you're into bulk domains, see Namesilo's tiered pricing. (You can negotiate better pricing) - namesilo.com/pricing |

But it's also a good idea to never put all your eggs in one basket. As someone who runs several affiliate websites - I have my domains spread across 5 different registrars (with multiple accounts at some). Remember the RegisterFly Fiasco? |
