blocked it in hosts but the redirect from Google stayed. WT? How do I remove it?

Didn't help. I mean it cured Chrome, but not Safari. Stupid question - will reinstalling safari help? How deep does it sit in the system?

Probably can go back to normal search by going into Safari preferences > Search, then select Google or something other than Searchlee
