Youtube you win. Take my money now !!

Ad-free trial over.

A subscription service i never thought i would have ever used.

But yeah you got me. Not having to wait for every vid while i patiently wait for "skip ad 1 of 2" to appear. No ads in the middle of a playlist while working out. You win.

Take my money... :2 cents::2 cents:

I installed a youtube adblocker in firefox and I've never had to endure another advertisement.

Sly 02-03-2021 11:32 AM

It's well worth it. I used to watch a lot of educational/how to videos. Five minutes in to learning something and getting all into it you get a commercial for some other product. Was annoying as hell.

Pink24 02-03-2021 11:38 AM

I also have an adblocker and never see ads.
From my understanding you can't get adblockers for Apps which explains why people struggle to block ads on mobile.
The solution is simple however, just use an adblocker for safari or whatever.

Yup. Becomes constant, and a complete pain in the ass.

For me this is worth paying for just to avoid all that considering the other shit we subscribe to (Netflix, Sky....) etc... :2 cents:

Is it 'smooth' with video ads? - For example is there an annoying gap...

I'm a little bit conflicted about using ad blockers.....

Absolutely no gaps, no glitches.... Nothing..Ziltch.. Nadda.. Zero..

If you have any problems then you installed a crappy adblocker.

i have premium too and i like it. the wife and kid use it more than me.

i watch on Roku usually so the 'ad blocker' option is irrelevant.

The ads on YouTube are out of control. 2 and even 3 ads per video. All of them annoying as fuck. I've been thinking about getting premium for a while. I have YouTube Vanced on my phone and it works like a charm.

Gonna download Adblock for Chrome and give it a try.

I always figured i could deal with the ads and convinced myself i would never need Premium.

After a month's usage though i couldn't go without. Like i say we pay for other shit we don't use even half as much so...

Honest answer: Using my extension - https://getadblock.com/ - You occasionally get a blank screen when you start a new video session. A little box is lower right of screen that says 'Skip ad' (This is indeed the ad being blocked) - Click it and video starts. No ads in the vids themselves. Next video wont have any ads, or need to click the skip ad thing - it will usually only appear on the first video. Then after a week or two, the algorithm will update and that wont happen at all. Then it will re-appear a month or so later when youtube change their algorithm. But adblock will update in a week or so and it will be gone again.

Other than that one tiny issue, its a buttery smooth ad free youtube experience

Give it a try - Its a legit extension, Ive used for over 10 years. You can always disable / uninstall it with a click.

If you are on mobile, just use youtube vanced - https://vancedapp.com/ - a legit version of youtube itself, but without adverts...

Paying for it too, well worth it. The time block with those ads is unreal + you get YT music which replaced spotify for me.

Given how many of us rely on ads to make a living it's probably not wise to advertise blockers :P

I'm not paying for yet another sub, I already have Netflix, Amazon Prime and Spotify. And I watch/listen on an Nvidia Shield so no adblock. But the ads really are fucking annoying, it's like they've cranked them up 10 fold in the last year or so. My solution is simply to watch less Youtube.

Or more YouTube, less Netflix.

I wouldn't miss Netflix at all but the wife watches it now especially since she's been outta work from Kung Flu for best part of a year now so. The sooner hair salons open the better...

I bought one too. It makes sense. Nothing is free.

adultchatpay 02-05-2021 06:03 AM

i am using Ublock Origin Chrome extension for my desktop = zero ads on all porn sites, Facebook or Youtube, even GFY ads and sigs are blocked.

BettyBoob1 02-05-2021 07:17 AM

I only watch YouTube on my laptop and I found Brave browsers built in shield works flawlessly. The Ghostery addon for chrome is good too. I couldn't bring myself to pay for YouTube but I guess I would feel differently if I used it on a smart TV or media player.

Well we use it thought our smart TV "by a lot" so nothing more annoying than being in the kitchen then the music you were listening to cuts out for some fucking tampon commercial...
