To be fair i'd still just be happy to own an old Daytona USA arcade unit... :pimp |
I was close to spending the money on a high end rig, but after a few sim rental sessions locally I decided it wasn't for me and spent the money on actual car mods instead.

Looks perfect. So who can afford to pay it?
|
looks like seat doesnt move, whats the point of sim if you cant get real experience. like moving seats, vibrations .after spending that much .
dayum looks expensive. |

Agreed. They don't even need to be expensive either... Taylor, above, is using a cheap ass setup. Infact, had the guy in the first video taken a different route with his index VR kit, and opted for an HP Reverb G2 instead, the money he would have saved could have paid for the motion rig that Taylor uses. Sure, the index is the best 'overall' VR kit, because of the controllers, but if Sim Racing, you don't use the controllers, just the headset, and the G2 has better clarity, sweetspot and resolution than the index. For visuals alone, it knocks the index out the park and its nearly $400 dollars cheaper... |
A friend of mine had this kind of setup for flying planes in Microsoft flight simulator. Back in 2004. Flat CRTs.
|
So, after all that expense, it turns out he doesnt know how to even use it... What a waste... |
