Boston culture?
I just met a 48 year old guy from Boston. Big gold cross on a necklace, big gold bracelet and a watch. He is dating my niece so I was all like wtf? She is dating a guido wannabe? I am from the Midwest and travel outside the states a lot. Anyone know if this is normal. Mafia? He is BrazilIan by birth and down here now.
I don’t know anyone that age that wears a watch or jewelry. So I was wondering if maybe an east coast or Boston thing. He is a Trumper so maybe out of touch. Just the weirdest guy she has ever dated. Lol. |
90's drug dealer look a like :1orglaugh
As long as he takes care of her needsss and respect her i guess Guido or not everything is just fine :1orglaugh |
Ah yes, the tolerant left generalizing an entire city (the city with some of the most prestigious universities in the world i.e Harvard, MIT, Tufts etc) based off of one person (not even born there)..
Maybe you should ask your niece...You know what they say about shit apples and shit trees. |
I lived in Boston for many years. He is not a Guido. He's a Brazilian. Help your sister dodge a bullet and advise her to exit this mess. He wants to be a townie but he never will be. Your sister is set for blunt force trauma.

I love Boston! If it wasent in the US, I might have lived there now. So many smart people and so much business.
Your niece however - is dating a douche. But that is a result of her upbringing and parents not teaching her high standarts. If that is the kind of guy she wants now, she will end up fucking/getten attracted to that kind of people forever. 3-5 years from now she will be a single mom with 2-3 kids by different guys, and an overused vagina. |

Sounds more like a New Yorker.

Is it baw-stin or boh-sten

A Brazilian, gold-wearing, 48-year-old Trump supporter should be sufficient red flags for any sane person. Tell your niece to ditch his ass yesterday., |
I used to have a Boston when I lived in America... :(

Everything I know about Boston is from the Departed.
and House Of Pain |
I’m from Boston and what part of Boston is he from? North End Italian or Revere Italian? Maybe he’s trying to fit in the stereotype.

but yeah, OP, it's prob a culture thing. have lived in SA (not Brazil) and now in the Caribbean and you won't be taken seriously in biz as a male if you don't wear a watch dude I'm seeing wears one, which I think is weird as everyone has a phone to keep track of time but he looks cute wearing it (boxers, slippers, his watch, his chain, fucking odd but cute as hell) so I don't care the gold cross is funny, not all that schooled in christianity but guessing Jesus wouldn't approve. would be funnier if blood diamond encrusted. or not :/ for real though, how does he treat your niece? he a good man to her? not always on his fucking phone? if yes to both questions who cares how he dresses |

he treats her like a queen who cares what he wears. he doesn't...then it's a problem hot nice men aren't all that difficult to find, and being single can feel absolutely amazing remind her of that |

People in NY were floored by my accent! Thick NY accents but “cah” was strange to them! Four is a word that Boston folks say weirdly. “Fowah” always has phone people asking me, “huh?!” Each city and town has its own pronunciation. I’m in Dartmouth or Dahtmith but many people say “Dahkmith.” |
