Cross posts could easily indicate this, but lack of subscriptions from that tells me rest of content on sub is pretty meh, or it's just all cross posts.

He crossposts he is using are outwards, not inwards. So basically he is creating content-links to his subreddit.

we own the offizial ZZ subreddit, 100k plus and care about it and the numbers are way lower at us, so I assume this is ... 'very surprising' ..
