Anyone watching the Chauvin Trial?
It seems that the media was making excuses why there were not more protesters.
I can see the Covid excuse but they were blaming the weather... we had 70 degree weather yesterday. The riots were going on in colder weather and with covid. It's almost like the media is trying to instigate more to come to protest/riot. It was more than once that they kept mentioning this. |
How about you take your idiotic ramblings to the https://gfy.com/politics-and-more/ section where they belong?

There are many ways you could've started this and it would not be politics but this trial will always bring up politics into it. |
This is definately political because it's a trial who's outcome symbolizes the existence of black oppression by white police.

Everything is one thing or another but cannot be anything else. Gotta love it. And we wonder why society is so fucked up. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- for those bitching... well stay the fuck out of this post since you think it is something that it is not. Media over sensationalizing stories is the topic. Did that really fly over your head? Maybe you just want to start conflict... who knows. You go ahead and do what you do... we will all sit and laugh :1orglaugh I live here, this shit was happening 5 blocks away from me... I could smell the tear gas that was used... I watched them march down the main street from my back porch. So... this is news to me. NOT politics. :321GFY |

I can see your point, and that was good of you to actually back up your statement. And if I was commenting on something that might pertain to the actual incident your point might be valid. However I was commenting on the media coverage and the excuses they were making for not having more protesters. It was like they were disappointed, they knew their news stories would not be as dramatic. Drama sells... christ, just look at all those damn reality competition shows. Now they have a cooking competition with children... FUCK!!!! Tell me I'm wrong. :winkwink: |

How else would I describe the media coverage and their disappointment? People would not know what the hell I was talking about without that description in the title. |

I will not comment on the rest as that might be bringing the political side into this post. That was not my intention. :winkwink: |

What matters is he killed a man and the sentence he will get will fit the parameters of all three charges because they won't give him the max. How's that? Jack. |

The police body cam, at least the one cop in the middle holding down Floyd.... shows Floyd taking (what looked like) his last breath. At one point, you see the cops hand grab the back of the SUV's front tire like he is applying more force to the body. It was shortly after that when Floyd stopped breathing.
The defense is laying doubt and technicalities, angry crowd, traffic... bla bla bla... Simple fact is, they did not need to keep him in that position for so long. They could have kept him on the ground and still submissive on his side without the knee in the neck. Sad thing about trials... it's not about innocent or guilt, it's all about who tells the better story. Even if these witnesses get that little bit of info in before it's over ruled, it gets removed from the transcript. That is what the jury is bound to, that and the evidence. |
