I made the switch
I made the switch and now I'm an Apple bitch. I got a wild hair to upgrade my Samsung Android phone to an Apple 12 Pro Max.
Am I going to regret this? |
I LOVE Apple and have never had a problem with any of my devices
|
You will only regret having to pay for a lot of apps that are free on Android. But only if you are a geek. Same goes for a lot of things in that regard. If you aren't using root to perform anything special, you won't regret much. Just the learning curve of how Apple put everything a bit differently.

Apple has gone to shit ever since Jobs died. Now it's all glued plastics and adapters. But hey, the chix dig it so all good! I just got the new Samsung Galaxy 21. Talk about a bitch - of a machine!! |
If you put enough thought in to making the switch, I think you will be happy. You are a clever guy, so I'm sure you had good reasons.
I prefere my new sony xperia 5 ii because it's not build in China, and have the same software as my Sony Cam. Some of the parts are most likely made in china, but at least I am keeping some of the money out. |
I own an Android. But I like and respect Apple. They respect their customer's privacy.
Somebody commits a murder on your block, Google will turn your data over to the Feds in a heartbeat. |
If you respect your own privacy online, you've already done yourself a HUGE service by making the swtich.
Aside from that, most of the apps seem to work better on the iOS platform, including many of the Google apps themselves. They both look and operate fairly similarly, so making the switch won't be too difficult. |
I had an iPhone I used for my business phone. Hated it.

Welcome to the club, man! )

I enjoy apple computers, but have never had an iPhone. Infact, even with my android phones I recently went 'backwards' - I went from a high end Samsung flagship worth nearly a grand, to a pixel 4a that cost me £250 - I have never been happier...
|
I still have and use my iPhone 4S. It was state-of-the-art when I bought it almost 10 years ago, and it works perfectly well for what I need.
I resist anything "android/Google" for personal privacy and safety reasons. I like that Apple Apps are not just waved into the store and onto shelves without some level of vetting. |

Besides driving me crazy trying to figure out all of the settings, this phone has a hell of a battery in it. I've literally been screwing with it all day and I still have half of a full charge. That's impressive.

but then again, i never pay for anything..i never use any apps :D just have a phone for the sake of having one |
I need to break down and do the same. But only getting mine for the facial recognition for the 3D software I have. Even the cheap XR will still be around 500.00 for a friggin camera. But better than the 1200.00 for the software for the webcam which is not as good I hear.
Fucking technology LOL I'll buy your old iPhone XR or above. Anything with the truDepth technology will work. |

happy for u , but android on top as for me))

Apple is one of the most anti-porn corporation... we all know it, and I'm surprised that so many of you are buying their stuff...
i'm not even going into the "good/bad design" "good/bad ROI"... Apple and Steve Jobs deeply hate the porn industry... if he was alive, Jobs would be financing Exodus war on porn campaign... At least Google is willing to take our money for ads if we're compliant and discreet enough :) |

Made this same switch about 7 years ago. No regrets. It takes a week to get used to the new ways and then you don't know how you ever worked with any other system.
