Underrated comment, another issue few people talk about is how hard is sometimes to massively edit videos when people use their phones.... I will just leave it like that.... but... is a challenge.

thousands have been doing that since 2018-2019

We use both smartphones, a high quality 4k Sony and a video camera, depending the shoot. For outdoor footage, the smartphone is much easier, for obvious reasons. The quality of footage is great, the problem comes to the sound, the wind noise can be apparent. While using a video camera, we use ex. mic and wind socks. :thumbsup

BBC using iphones... For a second, I thought it's not a joke. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually start using phones as the quality keeps improving.

People use digital cameras for shooting video... an iPhone would not surprise me.

I am sure showing up to get naked for someone shooting with an iPhone will not feel very comfortable for your model and make you look like a total amateur.

But if that is all you have, we all have to start somewhere.

Yeah, it's completely real. And, from what I can 'guess' (cause I'm not an iPhone user so correct me if I'm wrong) its actually one of the older iPhones?

I say that cause my Son has the latest iPhone and it doesn't have a round 'home' button - Whereas the iPhone in the video ( Identified by me as an iPhone simply due to the round 'home' button) does have that button...

And that's footage that will be broadcast into viewers homes all across the UK.

Considering that a smart phone which is half decent will cost over $1000 I am sure there are cameras cheaper ( or certainly not more expensive) which will provide a good quality. I am just not sure which ones.

iPhone is not another smartphone, is a real tool for everything. Great camera so u can make great content!

we bought an osmo gimbal a year or so ago, works a treat when outside walking or for moving shoots, around the coast and by the sea, but again, it´s the wind...

our sony doesn´t have a mic socket, big time flaw :( But all´s good if it´s not too windy :thumbsup

maybe mac is better now, I have shot against 25 or so iphones with my Samsung, the macs didn't do so well.

I'll agree with you on that, however, despite me not using twitter and not being used to twitter, I did assume it was twitter compressing the video?

I looooooooooove that gimbal. I wish it worked properly with livestreaming though.
