Recommendations for good tv shows/movies on amazon prime?
Just subscribed there and started watching man in high castle, is anything else interesting there? Kind look like poor content choice.
|
I would recommend a whole list of shows for you but you said "good" so....not really.
|
Man In The High Castle was great. Jack Ryan is good, so is Zero Zero Zero.
|
Off the top of my head, I cunt think of many tbh. As for shows, 'The Boys' was interesting. As for a TV style show, (25 min byte size pieces) 'upload' was interesting. But, YMMV of course...
EDIT Plus Borat 2 and 'I care Too Much' That was a quirky movie :) |
I like Sneaky Pete and Bosh.
|
I recommend you to cancel your subscription . . .

I get it as part of my phone package. Seems that special has never expired. I use the prime for deliveries, tried video, it was ok but nothing that great. Boston Legal was good for me, Denny Crane : They're evildoers. Yesterday it's a tree, today it's a salmon, tomorrow it's, "Let's not dig up Alaska for oil because it's too pretty." Let me tell you something, I came out here to enjoy nature, don't talk to me about the environment.
I have had Netflix for years now. I like it but it seems they like to cancel shows after 3 seasons. I hate being left hanging. Recently got HBOMax, it's decent. I like the see it same day as in theaters... but wish they had Marvel rather than DC. Also not real happy they have removed Elmer Fudd's shotgun and Yosemite Sam's pistols. Fucking namby-pambies! We use to bitch about cable and paying for tv, now everything is fucking a la cart these days. Depending on how many services you purchase, you can be well over a cable bill.... especially when each new channel has "exclusives" to draw you in. I still have an antenna, Christ, the channels come in as clear as cable, xbox, streaming... With smart TV's, hell... I don't even need the two services i am paying for except convenience and no commercials. I really hate commercials! Hahahaha... coffee kicking in. |
Bosch was good for a season or two

If you like sci fi at all, I recommend "the expanse"
first season is a bit hard to get through, pace picks up in season 2 |
I am on Prime for a second time and will be dumping it soon.
I kind of enjoyed Castle but it got weird. Amazing Mrs Maisel was good Vikings was very good Bosch, Jack Ryan, Wayne = all bingable |
Man in the High Castle is great!
The Boys, American Gods, Jack Ryan, Electric Dreams, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Tick, Jean Claude Van Johnson, Vikings, The Stand and Hunters are all highly recommended. |
Yesterday i watched cartoon, "invicible". Not bad, tho it have a lot of gore .
|
I Bosch is mentioned and thats good.
Goliath is decent, season 1 & 2 above 3. The short lived Mod Dogs is 10 episodes to fill up some time. |
I would recommend you something, but you wont understand it anyway, so no.

I so totally wanted another season of Mad Dogs, but it has been a minute. |
For newer stuff, the first season of The Boys is a work of genius, very entertaining if you like the superheroes-in-real-life motif and still moderately entertaining for folks who do not. Second season was mostly dumb and depressing, but had some nice superheros fucking scenes.
The newest season of The Expanse was mostly good, aside from killing off a main character based on the actor's behavior, not the source material. Hanna is decent. Most of the more recent Amazon Prime fare has not really grabbed me, but I do like not having to consider the cost of shipping. For older Prime Originals, Bosch and Sneaky Pete and Jean-Claude Von Johnson and Good Omens are all decent and Alpha House is super funny even in retrospect. Happy watching :) |
