Email Marketing Platforms, who do you use?

We're looking to make a change from our current provider and would like to know which platforms people are using these days.

Must be able to send ~1 million or more emails per month

Must have a working API that can be used to propagate and maintain mailing lists

Automated email verification/validation would be a plus.

We're currently looking at SendGrid, couldn't find any mention of porn/sexually explicit rules in their ToS... anyone here using them?

What is your budget? I have two solutions based on https://www2.octeth.com/ running on the customers own cloud-infrastructure. It's not cheap, so you need to have a budget that can support it. Outgoing mail is at least 100k a day

We'd rather have a service that can manage the entire process for us. I have enough servers and things to manage as it is. We've gone down the road of trying to handle our own email delivery and don't really have the time to work through and deal with all the regulations and nonsense that comes with email.

For example, for a while, we were using a 'self-hosted' platform called "Sendy" iirc along with AWS as our delivery provider. Our account was shut down by Amazon, even though we jumped through a million and a half hoops to ensure we were following every rule to a T.

Their managed service offering is https://sendloop.com/ - you get the same tools and insight, you can even have them maintain your onprem solution if you want.

I'll check it out, thanks.

We're still looking for other suggestions as well so we can compare before settling for one or another.

They said that is what they had and got shut down.

Sendgrid is a solid, albeit not cheap, solution as worry free full service platforms.

YNOT Mail has everything you want.
- You can send 100 million emails
- We have a full API.
- We ahve automated email verficication.

Every week I hear horror stories about people on Sendgrid or Amazon SES. They will take your money but if you get a single complaint they will review your account and then kick you to curb.

bllivingston 05-06-2021 06:31 PM

Look at Ezine Director. Adult content is allowed. It sets up a dedicated network for every client. There is no worry of being kicked, as the client is isolated to their own IP and domain.

Is it me or do they not even have a terms and conditions page?

Amazon SES? Yeah, they shut us down regardless of how many hoops we jumped through to make absolutely sure we were following every rule to the letter :(

I hear this every week. Every week I get one or two people that say SES / Constant Contact / Mailchimp dropped them without warning. They say you they are fine with you sending out adult content until it becomes a problem and they have to actually look at it.

Strange. I have been using them for years with no problems at all.

Interesting suggestions!

Is there anything else BUT YNOT Mail?

TheLegacy 05-10-2021 07:19 AM

YNOTMail is the only place I would trust for that

No provider will allow nsfw images in emails.

I've sent 10s of thousands (probably more, idk) of nsfw emails this year so far with Ynot, so far so good. Most go to inbox too.
