Again... total noob, don't know what I'm doing until I got my site made... Canadian resident here with a simple Ontario company, should I just walk into TD or scotia bank and open a bank account?? I'm super frustrated about the cryptic ways of the adult payment world.... Any help will be greatly appreciated also super ready to pay for legit service providers.

Yep. We've been banking (corporately) with TD for the past 25 years, never an issue. Just to be save, make sure you have an non-adult email, and non-adult website, if they ask.

Advising using any type of e-wallet for banking is crazy. Bank is a bank, no matter what.

Not sure what you mean by "changed". Adult businesses have always been legal enterprises in Canada. I haven't heard of any Canadian banks discriminating against adult.

Yea that's what I got going on so far, None adult email, No website provided atm. Do you also use the bank to accept payments from processors or do you have a offshore thing setup?

Being in Canada myself you can set up a numbered business name but also since you're in adult you'll also need an american bank account. This will mean you're going to need someone and some place there (which can be done) to set it up.

Canadian banks will take the money but there are few that don't like working with porn so be honest about talking to a rep.

Over the years one of our companies was shut down for being in adult by RBC and most recently National Bank. Canadian banks absolutely discriminate against adult companies, especially if you're involved in production. With all the negative press surrounding PH/MG banks are not taking any chances.

My best advise is to watch who is sending you wires. Our NBC account was flagged because of an incoming wire transfer from Paxum. The flag was through the corresponding bank in the US, JP Morgan Chase.

Interesting. This is the first time I heard of banks flagging Paxum this way. I mentioned it to them before, but having adult companies listed in their Success Stories on their home page is a really, really bad idea if banks start snooping and I can't imagine that has really led to any increased business for them.
