Do all Chaturbate models pay taxes ?

In USA they can't avoid taxes because CB sends 1099_MISC and report income to IRS. But what about other countries. Do chaturbate report foreign models' income to authorities in their countries?
If not, they can avoid taxes using BTC payments i think.

Depends on who is asking...

Rochard 05-09-2021 08:50 AM

In theory they should. Back when I worked for Lightspeed our models were independent contractors. The downside is every year they would be hit with a huge tax bill.

I doubt anyone in Romania pays taxes lol

Such questions need to be properly addressed to Tax Attorneys/Advocats/Barristers and Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Accountants who regularly work with global businesses.

The US government by way of signed international treaties, have what intergovernmental agreements aka IGAs with a long list of countries which include but are not limited to the following:

Australia
Austria
Bahamas
Barbados
Belarus
Belgium
Bermuda
Brazil
British Virgin Islands
Bulgaria
Canada
Cayman Islands
Chile
Croatia
Costa Rica
Curaçao
Cyprus
Czech Republic
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Gibraltar
Guernsey
Hungary
Honduras
Hong Kong
Ireland
Isle of Man
Israel
Italy
Jamaica
Japan
Jersey
Kosovo
Kuwait
Latvia
Liechtenstein
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Mauritius
Mexico
Moldova
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Poland
Qatar
Singapore
South Africa
Spain
Slovenia
Sweden
Switzerland
United Kingdom
Uzbekistan
Turks and Caicos Islands

US Citizens and Permanent Residents are subject to US law in/outside the United States. We are the governments personal asset and property. To ensure that they are fully aware of all monies earned outside the US, they have agreements with most foreign countries to report (snitch) that income to the US Government. Naturally, in return for that shared information, the US Government has promised to do the same, on foreign nationals earning money in and from US companies (sources).

In the long run, there is little to no anonymity using Bitcoin. As digital currency is going mainstream, governments are going about licensing the industry that serves e-money, and forcing them to collect information on their users.

I think you wrote about CRS (Common Raporting Standard). It's about keeping money on foreign bank accounts. USA reports non US bank accounts owners to their authorities and other countries report US citizens to USA authorities. But i'm talking about earned income that is paid to models/affiliates not kept in US banks.
I can't believe that chaturbate reports models/affiliates income to all these countries you listed.
Is any chaturbate staff here on this forum? Maybe we should ask right in the source.

Most of them don't even know what taxes are.

So guess no one considers that the government agencies read our posts here and on other boards just to catch stuff like this? Let's not put the models in harms way because if there is anyone who says differently than they all pay taxes you'll hear that suddenly they're being checked out for tax evasion.

It depend which country - tier 1 countries like US/Canada/Germany could watch online stuff and read it, but tier 2 countries doubt. Dont think they even know to use internet there lol

Here is one fun fact: it's not just bank info what is exchanged, but things like airbnb rent. Some people here in CZ received a letter from local IRS about not paying tax on rent income from airbnb which they did years ago.

You may be right. Unfortunately I don't have access to my office data right now. Hopefully someone here will contribute to your question. Good luck!
