Twenty Years ago today...
 

I was at the Cannes Film Festival, at the Hot d'Or porn awards, sipping drinks at the pool with Max Hardcore...

Had no idea that it would be the last year... :(

Where does the time go???

Damn - That would have been a fun night - Time really does fly and so much has changed...

It's passing, some things take time to change back. You'll see!

We had just got our first DIGITAL camera at the time. It was greeted with great interest by other show attendees. They fell into two distinct camps:

1) 'Traditionalists' who assured me that I had wasted my money on a silly fad and simply had created another unnecessary step in the process of being able to get the picture onto the printed page - Much to low of a quality for that...

And 2) The 'Futurists' who couldn't believe how advanced the camera was and that I could actually fit 10 entire pictures onto a 1.44Mb Floppy Disc, which I could then swap out with an empty one! Minds Blown ! lol

I had one of those! SO great for webwork just snap a picture and then view/edit it on the laptop, I'd walk around with a box of floppys in my back pocket. I sold it to my sister for 500 and I think she still has it.

Yeah, they were fantastic at the time. :)

I had the bag to carry it in which had loads of slots for blank discs, so it didn't have a thick bulge of discs all in one place :thumbsup

I've been searching my archives to try and find some of the pics from that show, but alas... They really have been 'Lost in the depths of time'... :(

I had one of these in 1998. I've got some floppy discs floating around with myself and my coworkers wearing KISS costumes we bought from the band in 99.
