Wordpress Theme Recommendations?
 

Most of the themes I come across are either too clunky with lots of unnecessary bells and whistles, or have very little to them at all.

I'm looking for a theme for a mainstream project where I'll put out a blog post each day.

I want it to be simple but neat, fast loading and reasonably good looking.

Any suggestions?

Astra is very good and flexible. I have built quite a few client sites on that theme. Blocksy is good also. I just started playing with that on another client's site.

Divi. Divi is a powerful drag and drop WordPress theme and page builder that comes with hundreds of layouts and templates for different kinds of websites.

Guten Theme.

Start with a minimal framework, like https://roots.io, and build the rest out yourself.

This is the only real way to get a theme with only the features you want/need.
