Hold your family close
Last Friday night we had a incident in town where four high school kids were badly burned. It some kind of a "prom" party and there was a small backyard fire. The fire died down, kids are kids, and one of them went to pour gas on the fire. I am not sure of the details but four kids got rushed to the ER, and two others were hurt.
Night before last we discovered one of our friends... her parents were in a car accident. Father died, mother is in ICU. My lord world is mean some times. |
Good words Richard. Life can be taken away from us, and those we care about, unexpectedly.
A few years back I attended a memorial for a young girl, who was maybe 20-21. Never smoked, or worked in a chemical factory, etc, yet cancer killed her. Then I think about an ex girlfriends father. Since his early teens, he consistently smoked two packs of cigarettes every day of his life. In his high 50s he was actively training soldiers for winter exercises, and was required to have an annual health inspection. His lungs were so clean, as if he never smoked. I will never understand it. |
Accidents happen all the time. Sorry for this kids

Kids do stupid things and that's fine because they need to learn and let out a little rebellion, but put gas on a fire? At what year in life did they not learn that was an incredibly stupid idea?
Regardless, sorry for your bad news. Loss of life and injury to life, always unfortunate. |
Aren't we all survivors of our own teenage years ? ?

What do you mean "prom" party? It is that time of year.
