Hi, Just wondering if anyone feels posting galleries on TGP's is still worth the time? Like the Hun, Pink World, etc.....

Do people still run TGPs? I still have a small number of blogs...

We made a tgp script a few years ago and sold fuck all copies, suggesting that the interest in TGPs is very niched.

Time left us, but what could we say in present... Going not good

I still have a few copies of this running and do mad traffic from them. How big a deal would it be to get the code updated fior PHP 7.X?

@Cameltopro: I know several people submitting to TGPs like clockwork, every day. Popular ones like Elephant List, The Hun, Thumbnail Series, PinkWorld, Library of Thumbs, Shemp's Outlaw TGP, Greenguy's PornLuv, BabePedia, FreeOnes, and many others.

Konrad: Your script was/is awesome -- I own a license as well. But it is not a TGP script, at least in the traditional sense. Rather, what you built was a picture gallery CMS script. It can do plugs, and users can upload content. But it lacked the fundamental purpose of a TGP described below. I think this is probably a big reason reason why sales were slower than you likely expected. Webmasters who initially expressed support for a TGP script were likely searching for a TGPX replacement. And when your script wasn't a TGP/TGPX replacement, they re-visited TGPX. Indeed, it would be a niche demographic for a TGP traditional script.

That said, you could probably re-brand it as a Picture Gallery CMS and attract new buyers. It is indeed a good gallery CMS.

Regarding TGP sites in general. Most seem to be using TGPX, which was converted for use with php 7.x by Hincapie (a member here). https://www.adultlist.com/adult-webmasters/tgpx-php7/
all use TGPX.

TGPX remains the defacto standard script because it offers the fundamental purpose of a traditional TGP script:
- Webmaster (Submitter) submits a gallery link to the TGP;
- The TGP posts the link to the submitted gallery;
- Submitter gets traffic back to their gallery/website from the TGP (to promote their sponsor)

They're not as popular, but there is absolutely a demographic that enjoys picture galleries.

Since 99% of all sponsors still produce FHG's, I would say someone must be promoting TGP's.
I use Mechbunny's TGP script, but like it was said, it is not a TGP sript per se, but a photo gallery script very suitable for mobile. I recently set up TGPX again and it works like it always has. I have not opened it up for other webmasters though. There are tubes and there are TGP's in whatever form you want to call them links or thumbs, same diff.

I would love to see Konrad at Mechbunny take a hand in re-vitalizing TGPX. Kudos to the AdultList people for updating it, but there are still some quirks that need to be fixed in the script. It's a bullet-proof, well-built TGP script that just works. The original programmer was very good. Putting that Mechbunny magic on it would be sweet as pie!

Really what we are talking about here are gallery CMS. The term TGP implies submissions to me and no one takes submissions nowadays. The Mechbunny script was the best. I suppose if you are starting now you would look for a good Wordpress theme.

They are both thumbnail gallery posts. They are not tube sites. Sites like Elephantlist and Outlaw TGP are far from dead, but I do get a kick out hearing that from other webmasters.
Most of us still into TGP sites are very comfortable with everyone else ignoring that traffic source.
Tubes are tubes, everything else is a variation of TGP. If you don't understand that, then great. Keep on truckin'!

Nah this thread proves that even if you literally show proof with traffic stats they will still deny it's a thing unless an old school name pops up and is like "this is a thing" then it's a thing.

And yes, that was from a single TGP ad buy that I ran in April/May that listed one of my galleries everyday for 30 days.

There's actually about 20+ TGPs, gotta pay attention to ones surroundings.
