Fish and chips should come wrapped in news paper. That is far too sterile for me.

I've just had a tasty cheeseburger and chips. Nothing fancy. But loved every last bit of it.

Most places locally have switched to panko breading since you can pre-prep and store easier. I miss a proper beer batter :(

They dont use newspaper anymore, as allegedly / apparently the ink can be poisonous, but they did come wrapped in paper, but I split them with someone else and put mine in a hot dish :)

feel your pain, I accidentally dropped my steamed cauliflower and callaloo in the sink last week cuz the bowl was too hot. still dealing with the grief, taking it one day at a time :upsidedow
