Need Help Finishing CMS

Who here is good with PHP programming? I need help with finishing up a big CMS project. It's about 90% done. Mostly copying things across the Network, testing and making everything pretty. PHP-based video and photo galleries mostly that rotate and update.

Contact in sig.

Picking up someone else's project in the middle can be a bitch.

Is there good documetation of what has been done and what needs to be finished?

I know, I know - working with someone else's code is a bitch and not preferrable. As for "documentation" there is none. LOL The previous dev just did the work without leaving notes or creating a manual, etc. This is part of the problem.

Some pages are in PHP (index, videos, photos) while others are in HTML. So that would need to change/be uniform and an Admin area setup so I can make changes across 100 paysite Members Areas.

So the project would take some time to review what has been done, get a handle on that, and then move forward. The only "good news" is we are almost finished so except for the Admin and a few tweaks it should be doable.

I am an optimistic sort. LOL

its best on a new project to read the code and map it out anyway. the messes just take longer to read.

i just read your name backwards (lol) are you in OBX?

What type of CMS is it? Paysite or?

Paysite yes. But it also covers my entire 100+ site Network.

Documentation of the code still helps. Good naming conventions help too. Reading through someone else's code can take a good long time and clients typically don't want to pay for that part, lol.

Also, client estimates of how much is left to be done are notoriously wrong most of the time.

All imho of course.

I was in Hatteras for a while. Started my first company there. Not there any more :(

I usually don't do much more documentation than that myself. Clients don't want to pay for the time it takes to do it right usually. I do try to write readable code.

KDH eh? I lived down in Buxton for a while. Was stationed there in the Navy and then stayed for a while. Love it down there.
