Dakota Skye Confirmed Dead

LOS ANGELES—Adult performer Dakota Skye died Wednesday at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles, the L.A. County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office has confirmed to AVN. She was 27.
The cause of Skye's death is unknown as of press time, but an aunt of hers posted on her personal Facebook page Thursday afternoon that the death occurred at 2 p.m. Wednesday, and the coroner's report lists the place of death as a "recreational vehicle."
Friend and industry figure James Bartholet also relayed to AVN that Skye's husband had confirmed to him that he identified her body this afternoon at the coroner's office.
"Dakota was a dear friend and part of our industry family, and we are saddened by her loss," Bartholet said. "She still had so much more to give to the world and to the industry, and I'm just very saddened and at a loss for words. We wish all the best to her family, and we hope people respect their privacy and please remember her in a good way. Remember her for all the joy and pleasure she brought us."
Skye entered the adult industry in 2013 and was nominated in 2015 for AVN's Best New Starlet award. She remained semi-active as a performer until last year, and had nearly 300 credits to her name, according to the Internet Adult Film Database (IAFD), spanning virtually every major production company.
