Anyone here have experience with TikTok/Mainstream leads?
 

Have a passion project that I don't mind personally investing time in.. and I'm curious about TikTok (I've seen other people in this niche generate tons of traffic).

Is it like Reddit where there is very much a general outline to adhere to or is it the wild west in terms of creativity?

I mean, outside of engaging/interesting videos.. is there anything else I should keep in mind? Have yet to dip my toe in the insanity that is TikTok but I have been watching lots of their videos on YT to get a taste of the pace.

Any incites would be GREATLY appreciated. I've stayed away from it just because I'm buried in other socials but damn.. THAT traffic is a game changer even if for just one succesful video.

I believe TikTok is only videos, so if you're wanting to focus on that social network then don't bother with images and other types of status updates.

Challenges are big on tiktok, so if you're looking to share something that lots of people are always searching for, consider posting some videos of you doing the challenges. Just do a quick Google search for "popular tiktok challenges" and you can probably find dozens of them (today I kissed my best friend, try not to laugh challenge..etc)..

If you begin making videos and manage to go viral, there are sites you can use to monetize those videos and earn from them (like Jukin Media or Storyful)
