M1

Hi! I'm sure it's been said a lot about it, but still, does anyone have a macbook air M1 to say it's rather workable Photoshop wise on the go?

I mean the physical screen is rather small, still, can you work on it without an external display, say, for a week or two?

I just bought the Macbook air 13inch with 16GB ram and it's amazing, you will not have any problem with photoshop or regular things

Oh, well, forgot to say, I have it plugged into a 34inch monitor.
Also if you buy the air model, youŽll miss the 4 USB-type c ports.

Cool. Most likely I'll have a 24" QHD external display to work at home. 34", man, one must have fish eyes or hands double the length to use a 34 incher :))))

My major concern is when I am on the go how good is it working on a retina 13"?
Aren't objects too small? Do you have to zoom in more than usual?

It's all about web design. Just when I travel I don't wanna carry a monitor for two weeks away from home, but also don't wanna slam a macbook against the wall :)

There is another thread in the politics section with good reports. I have been thinking about replacing my iMac as well.

I've been facing issues with docker, react app dev and a few other things that make me wish I had held off... just a little bit longer.

I am running a Mac Mini M1 with 16 Gig of Ram, and it is freaking fast. (Much faster than my previous Mac Mini with the Intel chip).

When you install Photoshop (or other programs) make sure you select the version for M1 Macs (Also called ARM-64 and Apple Silicon). The performance difference is noticable right away.

I had dual iMac 27" on my desk up until last year. I sold them both at about $800 each, and bought a Mac mini, and a 49" Ultra-Wide Monitor at 5160x1440 resolution.

OMG...
