Any ubuntu experts here?
I've got a problem with unmet dependencies and my brain just isn't working today. So I'm having
a hell of a time trying to think this through. Here's my error requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: winehq-stable : Depends: wine-stable (= 6.0.1~hirsute-1) E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. |
Try with apt install -f

It says the install package you used is broken. https://www.winehq.org/ :2 cents: |
Anyone else giggle at the word hirsute, or just me?.. :upsidedow

Had this, or very similar, problem just the other day. Tried all 'solutions' and thought none worked and just gave up (have it installed on another Ubuntu partition anyway), but it turns out it is installed, working from the commandline, it just isn't on menus.
I'm using Debian though, and put the problems down to that, because previously on Ubuntu it was easy. There are others using Ubuntu with similar recent complaints though, so maybe it's a new/current issue: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1347...nstalling-wine https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=34828 |
