How many monitors do you have?
 

I just bought another (cheap) monitor and I had to pause.... At what point do you have too many monitors?

My main PC has four monitors. My backup PC has two monitors. Now I will have two monitors hooked up to my laptop. That's eight monitors.

They aren't huge monitors; just cheap 24 inch dell monitors. But I think I have an odd obsession with monitors at this point.

2 on my main pc, 2 on my back up.

2 ultrawides. Used to have 3 monitors but the new ultrawide monitors make up for that.

I don't think that would work for me... I like having one screen dedicated to one thing - one for what ever project I am working on, one for skype, one for email, one for calandar....

Just one ultrawide. No need for more than one for most tasks.

I've also never understood why people maximize their windows though. Bad eyesight?

2 Monitors for desktop, 2 for laptop but my desktop is my primary work station.

Fascinating! If you don't mind me asking - is it absolutely necessary to have so many monitors in order to do biz? I am using 2, one for writing, and the other one for checking sites / videos / galleries I am describing.

three 24, extended to 55-inch screen, one more monitor for video surveillance, and 75 inch TV connected to computer for movies.

depends how much shit you have to do. half of mine are displaying server stats and logs.

It is absolutely necessary? No, of course not. It makes my life a bit easier. I don't need to pull up a special window for skype or email to check email because they are always up on various screens. It's a nice way to work.
