Delayed splash screens
 

Those screens or boxes the pop up over the page after you've been reading for a few seconds.

I have never clicked on one of them and never will.

Same thing here for pop ups and pop-unders. I click on banners and text links for ads I am interested in and never anything else.

But advertisers still pay for them, so they're still around.. :( lol

It's probably to force the user into closing that delayed window so that it will trigger the popup. Ca-ching!:2 cents::2 cents::2 cents:
