The best way to promote a WordPress Theme ?

Hello everyone,

As some people already noticed we've launch our products few days ago (you can check our thread in the announcement section).

We were wondering if it was relevant to advertise a WordPress Theme through social media (with Facebook ads for example).

If some of you have other ideas to promote this kind of products, we would be glad to read your advice, WordPress doesn't seem to be an easy niche.

Thank you all !

Make a blog post introducing your theme shop.
Make yourself known to popular WordPress news sites like WP Tavern and Post Status.
Share your introductory post and new themes with wpMail.me and other newsletters.

lots of theme sellers go on appsumo - its a big hit to your margins but it gets users in, and lifetime meaning if they like your product they will keep using it - that will help get you more referrals too in the long term. you also get some proper critique on your product to be able to make improvements and continue developing a great solution.

You could do some social ads but chances are its hard to get your audience right - how would you target someone who is in the process of resarching a theme for their needs?

If its to do with membership sites, you could reach out to facebook groups and linkedin groups people who are doing courses and learning to build them - make a connection wit hthe owners maybe do a JV deal if they like your theme they could suggest on a course about membership sites

I would suggest some seo also:
best wordpress theme for X

and variations of this based upon specific features that you stand out with that will solve problems for people looking for a theme.

You could also do google ads for people looking for wordpress themes this will be big competition and potentially expensive but target on very smaller specific searches and gofrom there -

happy to give you some more advice but lockeed.co doesnt seem to load at all if thats the site

Creating a facebook page wouldn't hurt..but target Facebook groups with website owners as you can probably make more sales that way. You should also consider buying banner ads at a place like BuySellAds where they have lots of sites that target your niche. Aside from those, PPC advertising wouldn't hurt for that niche either, not to mention posting in relevant forums where webmasters/website owners hang out..

I am not sure what your wp theme is.

But the simple option is to give a free version on the wp site.

It will give people a chance to try and use it, and if they like it, and want the one with more functions, then they can buy the full version from you.

I would these days not buy a wp theme unless i tested it out first. I have chosen a few that I found did not work and was glad I tested them free first.

I went to your site but it does not seem to be working.

It may have been worth having your site fully working before you posted, as your customers may have now clicked on your site link and found it is not working and moved on. you may have already lost sales.

but one thing to make sure if you have a working example for people to see, and it may be worth giving it away to a few people for free on this forum in order to get feedback and honest reviews.

I have now seen this post: https://gfy.com/announcements/134726...ress-site.html

It looks like (I could be wrong) a wp theme to do your own onlyfans type site.

I like the idea, however your going to have a small problem that you need to explain to customers, why use your system, rather than onlyfans, or one of the many alternatives, that are ready to go and some bring you customers already.

One suggestion would be to offer a solution where you take a % of profits or charge a monthly fee where you host and run everything, and the customer simply adds content. Remember many people will have no idea how to set up a wp site or anything.

However I do like the idea of your theme.

One suggestion is to contact website hosts and offer them the theme as an option for customers.

One option to consider is a free version, but with adverts.

One option too is to do a free pdf on advice how to make money with onlyfans and your system. Such as what to post and when to post it.

Honestly I have a site i'm working on that I would love to post a review and promote this product. But I do have a few questions. What is the best way to talk with some one at the company?
