What film means the most to you?
 

I don't mean, "What's your favourite film" I'm talking about a film that for whatever personal reasons, means the most to you? The one you have a personal connection with?

I'll go first. Mine is actually 2 films, but that's because its a two part study of the life, and ultimately the death, of a fictional musician, 'Jim McLean'...

Part 1 is 'That'll be the day' 1973
Part 2 is 'Stardust' 1974

What's your answer?

Movies are mostly a medium the get laid, so I'll commend to most blockbuster* films from 2000 onwards.

*A notable exception was 2003's "Kill Bill", that film seemed to put girls on a castrating mood.

La vita è bella 1997

Guido Orefice, meets Dora, a pretty schoolteacher, and wins her over with his charm and humor. Eventually they marry and have a son, Giosue. Their happiness is abruptly halted, however, when Guido and Giosue are separated from Dora and taken to a concentration camp. Determined to shelter his son from the horrors of his surroundings, Guido convinces Giosue that their time in the camp is merely a game.

Highlander 4

#1 Deliverance . (1972) I was born and brought up where you could find people that were very similar. People living in the mountains etc.. you wouldn't get fucked in the ass but you certainly didn't fuck with them.

Miracle Mile has totally blown my mind and become one of my top 5 moving films.

That is actually one of movies which means to me as well. Particularly that last scene, as it can be used for general symbolism , not just for Scottish independence lol

Top Gun. As dumb as it sounds.. I saw that movie and a short time I enlisted in the Marines. I didn't want to be a pilot but I wanted the "nomad" lifestyle the miliatry offered. That movie had a massive impact on my life.

I thought it was Hungry Bitches.
