Anyone use a treadmill at home? Which one?
I'm thinking of getting a treadmill.
I've only used a treadmill about 3 times, so not much experience and I was younger then also. How's it going with your treadmill or bike or other cardio machine? Thanks :) |
I used to have a Reebok i-Run.
Basic, no fancy features, (didn't connect to the net, run apps etc) but it did what was needed. You could choose special programs for resistance etc if you wanted, but what I liked was you could just get on, hit start, and go for as long or as short a spell as you needed, going faster or slower at the touch of a button, and it would give you a full breakdown at the end of distance travelled, time taken, calories burnt., average heartrate etc etc... Simple and effective. Recommended. it was kinda like THIS, but an older, more sturdier model. Edited to add, it was nice to be able to have it on a gentle setting, so I could stroll while watching TV etc. Keeps you active and moving, even if your not doing a 'workout' per say... |
Yeah man, I also think about buying a treadmill in addition to my fitness bike I bought 4 months ago.
With my bike I started slowly, only 2-3 kilometers per session in my first month, just for the beginning. Meanwhile I go with 10km every time I cycle and another 10km the morning after. 10km are like 30 minutes. I hope in one or two months I ride 15-20km per session :upsidedow But last month after 300km, it started to make some strange annoying noice, somewhere near the pedal and I couldnīt focus on the training with such shit. I had to contact the support, glad they sent two guys to get it fixed. :upsidedow So yeah man, buy some fitness devices for you, itīs not bad! :thumbsup |
I have discovered the best way to burn calories is a elliptical. Our HOA has a gym with these fantastic elliptical machines and I have discovered that I can watch Netflix while on an elliptical and... I can easily do this for hours each day.

You guys don't have what us poor people call "outside world" ? ?
|
I had a high end Reebok/Ikon treadmill. It broke several times and then the warranty ran out. Expensive to service (tread, rollers, computer boards, motor). Sold. Ever notice how there's always broken ones as the gym? They pay big $$ to constantly get them serviced. Beware they can be high maintenance for a home user.

Bought a elliptical/crosstrainer. Running, even on a treadmill, is bad for my knees. Bought a cheap one, would advice a better one.
I used one time a treadmill in a gym and the fucker stopped. That could have gone badly wrong cause than your knees want to bent the wrong direction. I won't step on an old/bad one again. |
Take up boxing. Your fat ass will be slimmed down in now time. If you train hard.
|
just go and walk outside, or ride a bike :)

I use Sparnod trademill (twice in a day. Morning and evening) exclude weekend and Sunday.
It's good if you run on the park or outside the house. Use trademill when snow outside or heavy rain. |
