I gave up on the idea of investing in bitcoin many years ago but have always kept an eye on the price and it never ceases to amaze me how something that does basically nothing is valued so much. an investment in an idea, to me at least. it will probably be the biggest investment miss in my lifetime.

I think its time for you to learn what it does. Everyone buys Bitcoin at the price they deserve. Time to start learning & completely understanding why it exists, why it will always exist & what it does.

edit: start by asking questions, lots of Bitcoin fundamentalists here.

ruff 10-03-2021 07:11 PM

Why does everyone think it's too late to buy Bitcoin? Go buy yourself some BTC and get with the goddamn program. What do you need, a fucking plank up the side of your head?

ZTT 10-04-2021 12:03 AM

There's only one question people need to ask to determine bitcoin's non-monetary value:

"Would I have any interest at all in bitcoin if the number didn't go up?"

nikki99 10-04-2021 07:11 AM

yes baby I will

A more important question: "do you believe will your central banks print away the value of your fiat?"

I think I have an idea of what its all about but the thing is I don't care about fiat money and all the things some bitcoin people say will happen one day with banks or whatever. I just want an easy money investment. Everyone uses it as an investment and not a currency, the price is up and down all the time and its too complex for day to day use for the average person I don't believe bitcoin will ever be widely used to buy stuff. I do believe there will be an accepted digital currency but it won't be bitcoin. The real thing to come out of bitcoin is the blockchain.

Investing in bitcoin now, I feel like a sucker since I could of invested when it was $70 a coin. I see no real point in investing now as even if it goes up, I am not going to make hundreds of thousands or millions off it now. I can make an extra 10k a month off my current investments just putting a bit more into them.

who is everyone? you know El Salvador has 3 million citizens using it as a currency now that it's legal tender?

Your first mistake about investing is not caring about banks or devaluation of fiat currency. This is the whole point of investing, to preserve or gain wealth, so if you're in it to make $1 turn into $2 you might as well gamble on random sports games or roulette.

A good investor understands the assets and economics of what they're involved with.

Central banks inflate fiat currency every day.
Bitcoin has a max supply of 21m with growing adoption
Math and common sense tells us that NGU. There will be bumps in the road but long term this can't be stopped.

Knowledge + patience = gain value

ruff 10-04-2021 07:37 PM

Brazil will be the next country to legalize Bitcoin as currency. So there's that. As usual, a little knowledge, apparently, is inconvenient. But that's okay, I don't give a fuck. You say potato and I say potato, let's call the whole thing off. Regarding the blockchain, there is Hedera now. Google it, buy it or let's call the whole thing off. It's like picking the peanuts out of fresh shit. For years the peanuts have been here, years.

Pad 10-07-2021 06:24 PM

oh hell why not

pad was here

but pad was also here in 2010 when he dismissed bitcoin as some type of new e-gold without looking into it

pad was also here when he sold prematurely in 2013

pad was also here when he sold prematurely in 2017

pad was also here when he probably sold prematurely in 2021

Short term thinkers sometimes win, sometimes lose

Long term thinkers are skilled with patience, endure pain, have conviction, always win.

Which are you? ST or LT?
