C4SLive is dead...alternatives to monthly membership platforms
 

So clips4sale is closing their membership platform. I do not have a huge amount of monthly subscribers but I have a few. Can anyone recommend a solution to capture these subscribers? my membership area is like this. I would do some promotion if there is a platform I can actually control the presentation.

platform needs to be streaming, not downloadable.

I was actually really happy that Centro purchased c4s, they're a wicked company and I'm pretty confident they'll do right by what has always been my fav clip site

that said...anyone notice weird sales lately? I am VERY sporadic in uploading (sometimes a bunch for days/weeks, sometimes no updates for weeks/months). so no 'following' per se, but for my guys who buy clips from me direct after seeing them on c4s

still, it's always been a thing where I upload a new clip and am pretty much guaranteed sales from c4s clients, yet my 'side' sites have made way more sales with my most recent updates. 2 days, 2 clips, $180 on the side sites, less than $30 on c4s

granted this is anecdotal, 2 clips after over a month of inactivity but huh? hope it's just an aberration

OP, owned by the same co but maybe check out modelcentro. not sure about 'streaming only' so def check that out, but a solid company and highly rec'd by Nat who actually uses their platform

I had mixed emotions when I found out MC was taking c4s over. TBH, c4s is clunky and feels like an old house that was built shittily and has been piecemeal upgraded over the years. So many features promised but never delivered. The backend is a mess IMO.

MC, back when they hit the scene, turned me down because I was not a solo performer. So I was not excited when they took over C4S. I have always hung in with c4s, with all its flaws, because steady sales and super support. So far my sales remain very good and the support staff seems to still be in place. Hope it stays that way.

I will take your advice, Jesse, and take another look at MC. They must be doing something right to be able to buy c4s.

Those side site sales ratios make me jealous. 6 to 1 Give me some of that please.

Well, I for one do very well with the image side of c4s. So removing that future sucks.

better sales today but still not up to what I would expect for c4s. wondering if it's just the clips, but both are selling well elsewhere so who the fuck knows

I kinda like the clunky, their back end works for me and uploads take mins even without ftp. plus purple but that's just me

glad you're checking out mc, if I hear of any other streaming only sites I'll def hail ya but Natalie is super happy with them and prob right up your alley. good luck =)

C4S sales would probably be better if MC cut affiliates in on some of the action.

It was very small part of the business, and with new requirements supporting it doesn't make sense as a separate product. As we announced we plan releasing those features eventually inside c4s itself.. but as you guys might have figured out fixing all things clunky to make user and producer experience excellent is our top priority.
