I wish I could be there; anyone considering a zoom?

I also wish could be there. Zoom could be a good idea for a toast.

Maybe someone can get organize some sponsors for drinks and food/snacks.
This is also for family and friends. I think in Vegas internext there will be strippers. They are always there :)

Publishing this now cause some people might need to arrange permission what can take up to 7 days when not vaccinated.

re JFK as a person, can't recall another death in the industry (during my time in it, I mean) that has inspired so many heartfelt expressions of grief and so many posts from people sharing their memories of him. clearly this man was very well loved

Will be really great to Zoom and share in the festivities. Will miss him for sure at future shows.

Is somebody able to design roll up banners with pictures/quotes for the event that could be set up in the theatre? Pictures of and with julius with great moments. And also his life when he grew up and with his wife and family. We must collect those pictures also. People will have to sent pcitures they, or julius, made. Or are there better ideas that can be done?

Ps, not GFY event, everyone can join to organise things. I just started some cause we see people want to make the celebration a success.

I am collecting some pictures that can be printed on banners / posters. You can sent your favorite pictures of Julius, or together with Julius to me. Also post your favorite quote from Julius i can print. Trying to collect pictures for a nice collage to print out.

I've already booked the hotel and am going.

What I learned today is that several of the hotels are already booked to capacity so if you're going do not wait until next week thinking no one is going to show. The establishment told me today their Covid capacity is 299 which is 50% so as it stands today there is more than enough to get in as the head count for verified guests is around 70 but that's Facebook and who knows how many will just show up without commenting on Facebook their going. Smoking cigars etc. on patio and alley. I also know several who are flying in a car pooling it in - so hopefully this gives you a heads up.

Great, wondering how many will attend. If you have some nice pictures, or baddog, they are welcome so i can use them. Don't have much yet..

I'll be sure to take some pictures with my phone then do you want me to post them or simply email them to you? if so let me know.

JFK was probably the closest thing I ever had to a mentor, and it wasn't until his passing that I realized this. It is safe to say that he is the primary reason I got into, and continue to do event photography.

In 2003, I was given my first "point & shoot" and while I have no idea what I was photographing at the time (Aimee Sweet party?), I would post those pics on Porn Is Bad. JFK had a few events coming up in LA and he asked if I would shoot them for him.
