Want to get spooked out by a movie?

I'm such a puss about horror flicks. have an over-active imagination and jump without intending to at every single moment of suspense and it's not over when the movie is. to not annoy my friends or partner I don't participate in watching them

watched Freddie fucking Kruger and slept with the lights on for a week (as an adult)

the worst was Witchboard when I was a kid, couldn't even look into my closet without glancing behind me, and I started using the bathroom in the basement with the shower that didn't have a sliding glass door

that posted trailer alone freaked me out, the arms coming out from under the bed part. no thanks. it looks wicked, but I'd soil my bed too much for even CS to handle

not afraid of much IRL except spiders (irrational) and sharks (rational) but horror films freak me the fuck out

seems interesting though, esp the double reality thing. enjoy. don't get eaten by a shark :winkwink:

This movie freaked me out like no movie I've seen in a long time. It's disturbing to say the least. Also the ending confused the shit out of me.

It was OK, but a little light on quality and depth of story. The main house and setting was beautiful.

The "voice" was too electronic and "modern" to evoke any transcendent ancient terror.

The premise was not entirely unoriginal, and my favourite phrase from the movie: "shameful urges".

Love Rebeca Hall, though she was even better in Awakening.

It's not a movie I would ever watch again, after having seen it, unlike any M. Knight Shayamalan film, that I would watch again and again (even after I know the story), because they are so well written and more evoke deep consideration than thin frights.

Devil by Shayamalan is one of my favourites of his.

Another scarier (like jump out of your seat) movie was Lady in Black.

That's a great review. :thumbsup

I doubt I'd watch it again either. The main actress was pretty poor, IMO. She was annoying with all the stupid faces she pulled. I did not enjoy her performance at all. But the story was tight, and tense all the way. However, I did not understand the ending...

Spoilers

What was nothing? And what's the story with the maze? I watched an "explained" YT video but it sounded like he was describing a different movie altogether.

Personally, i love horror vids, they get me all tangled up like you, but the freaky side of things keeps the mind active, especially when you start pulling your feet up away front he edge of the bed or settee...

this movie does look pretty intense, and itīs the story line I love, the thought of a mirror image, very cool idea :thumbsup

4/10 on IMDB...hmm, I usually only give flicks a shot if they're over 6.

Yes, a lot of shitty movies have high ratings. 100% agreed. But rarely do good movies have low ratings. 6 stars is a good indicator on IMDB.

However, you have me sold. I'll give this movie a chance. :thumbsup
