hey yo, intro
Hey y'all, intro thread. I happened to stumble across posts at another forum about affiliate sites for cam sites, and I had some domains, and figured - why not just stick something on the domains? Certainly doesn't hurt! (though, I do spend quite a bit of time making fun images now for my Insta/Twitter) Then I found this forum and it seems like this is a more professional-type place, so here I am.
I really just started doing it a little over a week ago. I assume linking my site is fine here, and yeah - the URL is, uh, interesting? dongbros dot com, not sure if links are allowed at all yet, lemme know if I should remove even this from my post plz! Started it a little over a week ago, and so far just set up an Insta and a Twitter. I really don't like the idea of just stealing content, so everything I post is definitely an "original creation" though I find images from sites other than CB that have images from cams (and then I generally filter over faces, never include nudity). I have no fucking idea what I'm doing, especially in regards to the writing involved with promoting this kinda stuff, so I ended up going a little wonky and making the site $SHIB themed.. Yeah, it doesn't really make sense, but fuck it, it fits in with Twitter at the moment and I'm HODLing myself. (insta - @dongbroscams - yeah SCAMS but that's not the actual website domain so no biggie, twitter - @dongbrosC) I actually talked to some of the models before I used any image of them, especially for the ones that mention their page - figured getting permission made sense and they seem to like how weird the images I make are. Anyway I would have never thought about this before, I still don't know how well I'm going to do at it if I just maintain this course - I got 8 registrations by the end of October, sitting at $48.58 payout (though I'm confused why that number doesn't carry over into the November stats?). I've got a blogger blog that I am planning on using to just detail the process of making the site, so that I can link to the site on it and don't have to mark the blog as being adult (since the actual link to the site has the 18+ warning itself and no content on the blog will be "adult"-themed), and free hosting that right now just has a sitemap.xml, and they don't allow adult content at all so I've gotta think up something, I might just make it like a fake design agency's page with examples of my design work being dongbros.com, the insta, and the Twitter page. (not to actually try to trick anyone, it will be presented as a joke, but it'll have the links by God) Definitely considering just writing something from scratch or working with code that's out there already. I have to imagine being able to get all pages indexed with Google and being able to have ads on the site is taking things to a totally different level, and it seems easy enough though I have to figure out the hosting situation. (I'd love to hear from anyone who can speak to how much better it is to run a real legit site vs a white label) I'm primarily a backend web developer / DBA but I do front-end, I can do design (poorly, sometimes okay, usually just CSS and buttons so I just go crazy if I need to do more than that, see my social media images for my high quality work), I do server admin stuff (IIS, Apache, DNS, web servers, etc) - I've done a little bit of everything when it comes to the web and mobile apps. I wonder if any of these camsites are looking for devs, I just moved and I'm looking for a full time thing. Also something I never would have considered before. And I have a domain that I hosted my own website on for a long time, that has plenty of links on the web still, and I think that's what I should use once I have a solid idea. It's a better domain name than DongBros, but I've really started to like DongBros to be honest. :D I'd certainly love to get impressions from y'all here who know what you're doing, as far as how fucking weird the shit I've done so far is LOL (or hopefully I've done a few things that are good, of course I would be ecstatic to hear that haha) - and I'm more than happy to give help/advice on any programming/scripting/server stuff that I have had experience with for sure. Someone wants to team up on something? I'm down for whatever. I'm just here to have fun and learn and of course, make money. But, if I just have fun, that's cool. If I find that I can legit make money doing this, that would really be dope. Anyway, I write long intros, it's a sickness I have, but hopefully I'll hear from some of y'all. I'll certainly appreciate any responses! |
welcome dongbro - i was expecting a bangbros clone
you can defo make legit money, its fun - as others say find a niche you enjoy chances are others do too - one note on your cb whitelabel - setup your domain correctly right now its just going to a subdomain |

I am working on setting up one with Stripchat, and they don't place any kind of restrictive robots.txt on the white labels. I get that they don't want the competing duplicate content, so I don't know why they don't allow for better customization. I've seen that apparently there used to be more control - I think in a post here, wanna say it was fuc dot com, I see they have some kind of CSS that comes in via base64. I wonder if there is a form field name that could be passed to the customization page that would still populate those old database fields. If anyone has a screenshot of what that page used to look like, I would see if I could figure it out. But it'd also be nice to give a little text editor per page too, so we could really add an extra custom touch. And then they could only block pages from Google where the user did not make any customizations. Just seems like a white label succeeding leads to their overall success also, if it's a lack of developers, maybe I should see if they're hiring. |
Happy to have you aboard :thumbsup

I finally just realized they do have some kind of documentation, though it's hidden in their Terms in a link that really isn't that obvious. Maybe I'm just crazy but I would think they would want to highlight that stuff in the actual Affiliates section. Love how they say you can't have a domain name that looks like chaturbate - a name that is already just a mash-up of real words. What happens if masturbate.com becomes available, am I forbidden to get it? Is it considered a "misspelling" of chaturbate? LOL! Oh damn - masturdate.com - I would totally snag that if it were only $10. |
What other sites do you have? Dongbros looks to be the CB whitelabel but you have to have some sites to drive traffic to it.

I have another white label I just put on some other domains but I think I will use those domains for a custom site. fourdown.com, fourdown.org, and 4down.org. I used to run a website on fourdown.org for a long time (and actually I ran a website on fourdown.com when I was in high school around 1999-2000, but then I lost the domain for a while so my next site I was on the .org). It's definitely different figuring out the SEO stuff for adult sites. When I was running my own site before, sites like Digg were popular. I've got time right now since I just moved and haven't gotten a new full-time position somewhere, so I really just need to figure out what works best - normally I'd build a blog site, so maybe I'll see if I can find hosting that allows adult content. I mean, I can build sites that would scrape and automate posting stuff too, but I feel like that's just garbage linking (I've never done that before, but I feel like that's something that is done with porn sites since legit backlinks must be a lot tougher to come by). I was thinking about using the CB API and maybe pulling out a random model who's been online recently and having a site that would create a post for the model with the link going to my white label site, have it spit out the basic bio stuff and then I would definitely be adding unique content to separate it from all the junk sites that just repeat cam bios. So I'd probably just do that manually, but maybe I could have other domains that just had it automated for lower-quality links but links nonetheless. But I don't know yet, that's kinda why I'm here - I want to read more posts and see what other people are doing. But I definitely think I should script my own site that pulls in cams from wherever. Or probably buy something out of the box that I can custom modify and ideally embed maybe onto a subdomain. Not having control over very much with the white label doesn't let me do the kinds of things I would really want to do. And then when I'm building out custom sites that will let me have ads, I don't know if it's better to use ads that are affiliate links to various sites or if there are ad networks that would be more beneficial to use. Also don't know if once I am building a custom site that would pull cams in, if that means it's pointless to still run separate white label sites or if I should then use those domains to link back to my custom site. A lot of fun stuff to think about for sure. |
