What financial software do you like?

So QuickBooks is now only SaaS. Meaning I'm looking for new accounting software. What do you like?

How do you feel about software in the cloud?

Almost every piece of software that I use on a regular basis has a cloud presence in some form.

I have been using QBoA for years. What is the reasoning for ditching QuickBooks? You don't trust the cloud or is it the monthly charge?

A monthly charge for something with no monthly improvement is annoying for sure.

A bigger deal is trusting data as important as this to a company which could just change its TOS seems non-ideal. For example, we were using Trello, but they apparently updated their TOS so that I no longer have access to the entirety of my data and I've now been waiting a week for them to even tell me how much money I should give them to access my own data or if my data is all even still there.

Also, cloud-based services seem to have data breaches on the regular. But it is mostly wanting to feel like I own what I create, I own my information.

I use freshbooks.com for years, guess not the cheapest but it works like a charm.

I can understand the reservations. Overall, more and more software will be fully moving to the cloud as time goes on. How all of these companies and even legislators plan on protecting that data, due to the issues you mentioned, I have no idea. It almost seems inevitable in today's world.

For my simpler LLCs, I just use a good old spreadsheet. That's not practical for most businesses but for some it should work just fine.
