Yeah, I order it cooked. Don't start worrying about me now ... between stalking Rochard, your fetid waterbed and your TV shows, your days are already busy enough. |

my ex used to grill me jerk tofu on the BBQ but I don't have one now. luckily bf (I do NOT cook) came up with something better...
slice a pkg of firm tofu into four slices. marinate in jerk sauce for a few hours or overnight. saute some diced garlic and onions and/or scallion in veg broth with pepper, hot pepper, pimento and a soupcon of salt. once cooked down and broth is mostly evaporated add the tofu slices and some sliced mushrooms and sear on both sides (I think 'sear' is the word, not up on the lingo) it's fucking delicious admit I'm not a food fan in general (find it a PITA, mostly just drink OJ and coconut water, totally off fruit I used to love; used to worship at the altar of grapes and watermelon), but this is a food I eat. highly rec'd to each their own, like I wrote earlier. I personally cannot fathom putting blood from another being into my body but do recognize that we are designed to be omnivores. s'all good. I also cannot imagine eating that much fat without feeling awful after but again, your bodies, your choices. do you just if in the mood for something new try the above. it is so tasty |

interesting that they can handle both fresh and saltwater, salmon in Canada are the same and I learned a new word today (very difficult for a word nerd to experience, cool when it happens).' isinglass' did try caviar once, eons ago, not sure what type tbh. recall it wasn't an unpleasant flavor but the texture felt weird in my mouth think my fav thing to come out of the sea back when I experimented with animal eating was conch (god I miss conch ceviche, but no season anyway as warming oceans are inhibiting egg production) and also uni. damn that was good too, loved the creamy texture your pics are interesting, everything Russian always seems so lavish. it's neat, and pretty. I'm def too scrub for it :upsidedow |

hell, one of my offline jobs is running a (small but successful) fishing operation. love working with the fisher folk, they are fun and I get to conduct much of that biz on the beach what I was (evidently inarticulately) trying to comment on was the amount of fat in those initial pics. in this we are very different. to me fat does not equal flavor, that's what herbs and spices are for. fat makes me feel gross, my stomach all "what are you trying to do to me?" :) honestly hate avocado pears and nuts for that very reason, way too heavy in my stomach to each their own. def like some of the latter pics more. look fresher, lighter, more colorful incidentally, the tofu recipe I posted that bf does for me also works with animal meat. bf has done chicken for guests whilst doing my tofu and it's a hit. would def rec trying it but again, thanks for understanding this was not a 'shame the omnivore' thing for me everyone enjoy whatever you eat today =) |
