How many people here shoot their own content?

How many people here shoot their own content? Do you have a studio or do you rent a place?

Lykos 05-18-2003 04:02 PM

Many:thumbsup

inthestars 05-18-2003 04:08 PM

How did you get started?

harvey 05-18-2003 04:12 PM

I used to shoot my content, but then I realized I was spending too much money in shooting to my computers, so now I ask my content very gently: Could you please go fuck yourself?

Shooting models is a crime in most countries :glugglug

harvey 05-18-2003 04:13 PM

they're also human beings, you know? :BangBang: :ak47:

I shoot my own content. That's how I got into this-- running sites with my own original content.

I have a studio. Well, our upstairs room is a studio most of the time. Nothing hugely fancy.

How do you make people feel comfortable about coming to your house to shoot in your studio when they don't know you? I am thinking about renting a place or trying to do outdoor shoots..

The professional models are cool with shooting in a home studio. It's very common, and they are used to it. The amateurs don't mind either. Either way, it's all about being decent, friendly, and respectful. If you don't scare them away, the studio probably won't.

i shoot my content too, it's foot fetish (actually i have been doing this for 5 years before i started thinking of making a website). I have a small studio im my house, i use my friends' flats, lots of outdoors pics.
Models either have lots of problems with 'so small studio', 'so weird pictures' or go for anything - i usually shoot the foot fetish pics in exchange for some pics for them - a kind of portfolio. Most of them like this deal.

Olivier 05-18-2003 06:06 PM

I do:thumbsup

non-exclusive content for my site and exclusive content for clients :)

strainer 05-18-2003 08:32 PM

I have a little studio next to my office in the house, but with 3 kids most of the time I can't use it.

What I do now is, shoot in a "Residence Inn" hotel. For under $200 you get a two bedroom suite with a living room and fireplace, kitchen, etc.

And you don't have to clean the sheets. :thumbsup

I shoot out of my apartment and hotels...

I find that it really doesn't sway models either way--the flakes will flake no matter where you are at. Though some have been more comfortable with me coming to them.

I hate setting my gear up though, lights, charging stations, laptops... it can be quite an undertaking.

My recommendation for hotels is to use Priceline - I get a lot of 3 star places for $35-$50... not bad for a location fee... and a lot of the hotels you get are biz suites with full couch, kitchen... many of the 2 1/2 star hotels are just that.

Though what sucks the worst is when a girl flakes and you book a studio or a hotel, and are out $.

Note, for bidding tips an excellent site is Bidding For Travel

It's a message board with posts of what bids people had accepted for different locations.

There is absolutely nothing to beat having a studio, it "Establishes" you in the mind of the model. But shooting from home is cozy and relaxed, we used to do it before we had the baby.

But in the end it comes down to the personality of the shooter, some guys have it and some do not.

I'd gladly shoot my own but I haven't found a camera big enough so that my dick will fit in the frame

inthestars 05-18-2003 10:25 PM

Charly, I feel the same way too, that having a studio is important.. I don't want to seem like a flake..

BigFrog 05-18-2003 10:34 PM

i shoot my own, but with just one model.

It depends on where you are getting your models from and what type they are. The average porn model from an agency could care less where she is shooting or where she is going as long as she gets paid. Most still do a great job even if it is your own bedroom. Of course the higher priced girls won't work with an amateur working out of his bedroom. And a newbie girl or a non-porn girl will feel very uncomfortable in your bedroom. But no matter where you shoot just make sure you have proper lighting. And always be upfront with any girl on the phone about where you will be shooting and what you will want from her. The more comfortable she is the better the shoot will be. Of course if you are just planning on shooting average content get it from a broker or provider and save a TON of money. Even if you need custom content just use somebody that will shoot it for you non-exclusively and you will still save a lot of money over doing a shoot yourself and probably get better quality. Models are expensive these days unless you are overseas:-)

good advice - coming from an agent.

I shoot my own content, and I have my own studio. I also think having your own studio goes a long way in terms of the model trusting the photographer... it basically establishes you as a legit operation rather than some perv that just wants to take naked pictures.

EscortBiz 05-18-2003 11:50 PM

I hire pros to shoot for me

Peter Romero 05-19-2003 12:25 AM

I hope I shoot it... otherwise there's no money shot.

Peter Romero 05-19-2003 12:27 AM

I wanna hire hot female naked photogs to shoot for me... that would be better than holding the camera while phucin.

SGS 05-19-2003 01:07 AM

We shoot our own and we have studios both in the UK and Spain.

:) thanks. just the initial shoot and interview though - fresh off the press as of about 2 hours ago... a few ones against a plain backdrop for deep etching & layout.

planning a real shoot this week with proper clothes (those are just some of the stock ones we have here) and some goth lesbian video - prolly get her to do her own site and cam actually, she's more hardcore goth than the photo shows.. and totally up for lesbian/insertion etc, she was talking about her dildo whips she has and what not.. should be fun..

bhutocracy 05-19-2003 01:58 AM

I only posted to show ian i've finally found a few :) i'm always piping up about doing some goth sites/shoots.

MandyBlake 05-19-2003 04:05 AM

My hubby, tony404, shoots 99.9% of the content for my site. If we need filler we'll buy a gallery. But since the site is based around me, we don't have much need for filler at all.
We have a studio set up that we shoot out of.

Master_Yoba 05-19-2003 06:26 AM

We have shot all content for TeenCore Club by ourselves. We have own studio and we rent sometimes apartments/ hotel rooms too

VideoJ 05-19-2003 06:45 AM

Our house is our studio. We shoot in most of the rooms and in the backyard as well. If we got a regular studio, we'd have to build all these sets anyway. Plus we're on 2 1/2 acres with nobody on either side of us :thumbsup

We usually work with pro models, or with model that have been referred to us so no complaints on the home enviroment.
