The Truth Hurts
|
You can see photos taken at music festivals before the 90s with 100 people in frame and not see a single "husky" person. Nowadays... yeah...

hahaha thats a good one. Question is why are people so much fatter these days?
My guess would be: 1st the food supply becoming less "real food" from farms and more artificial junk food products. Let's face it, those fatties are eating oreos for breakfast. 2nd would be a more sedentary lifestyle, perhaps technology playing some role in that. Go back a number of decades they didn't even have electricity. you had to chop your own wood, hunt/grow your food, etc.... basically you had to handle things and it was more physical. it's too easy nowadays lol. I doubt the people in those pics were hunting their own food and shit but generally speaking it's a lazier more pampered age. |

But I'll also add entitlement and stupidity are probably the biggest drivers of obesity in today's world Only the stupid continue to shovel garbage into their mouths and believe that they're healthy. Only people that feel entitled expect others to lie to them that they're healthy. Quote:

Bottom line : Lazy people exist all over the world but they are not many fat people in certain countries.
It's the food. Japanese sit on their asses just as much as Americans. But look at the two different dinner plates and snacks. Plus American poultry, beef and pork are pumped with hormones to make them bigger. No doubt it has a affect. :2 cents: |
Yeah I agree it's mostly the food. You can't consume junk like that and not put on weight.... UNLESS.... you are like me and run 5+ miles a day, work the farm, hike.... but then eat cakes, donuts, and hot dogs. Not a lot of people pull off such a strange "balance" lol.

Yeah on one way, lazy people is the other way
