Depp will lose, and that is just a rumor.

its a defamation trial, depp just wants his side of the story to be heard and get his name cleared as much as possible.

even if he loses the trial, he's already won in the sense that public opinion is more in his favor than ever.

He may lose. $50M is a lot of money. I really hope not, though.

Yeah, he definitely wants to clear his name. It seems like nearly everyone is on his side. He and many others lost a lot of money because of that psycho.

We have not heard her side yet so I cannot even begin to make any kind of judgment.

Depp's problem is that everything that he said about Amber was prior to her writing the article so he has not really presented any evidence to support his allegation.

And by lose I mean he will not get a judgment against her. It will not cost him $50 million dollars to lose, it would cost him a hundred million dollars if he lost to her.

I think how she is bat crazy too for one simple reason - there is not a single other woman which would say how Deep did something inappropriate. Maybe he did something due provocation, but even in that case he does not deserve same fate as other offenders.

Between Heard and Pinkett-Smith, this just goes to show that toxic femininity is also thing...

About 10 years ago I had an alcoholic stripper defecate in my bed. I still wonder if she did it on purpose or not. She never apologized. A jury has found both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp liable for defamation in their lawsuits against each other.

Depp sued Heard, his ex-wife, for defamation over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in which she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Though Depp was not named in the article, he claims it cost him lucrative acting roles. Heard countersued her ex-husband for defamation over statements Depp’s attorney made about her abuse claims.

Weighing the claims, a jury found that both of the exes defamed each other.

The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million dollars in punitive damages. The jury awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages and no money for punitive damages. Depp sought $50 million in damages and Heard sought $100 million. Punitive damages in the state of Virginia are capped at $350,000, so the judge reduced the punitive damages award to that amount.

Heard kept her eyes down as the verdict was read. Depp was not present in court.

Because believe it or not, some of us have dated many women, some of whom have the same psychotic characteristics as Amber and can relate to this case.

I'm thrilled justice was served today. This is a huge win for men who have been put through the wringer by lying women.
