Monkeypox Apecalypse is coming

Monkeypox outbreak linked to adult sauna super-spreading event. (Also in Belgium it started in a gay sauna).

----

Cases of monkeypox in Spain have been linked to a super-spreading event at an adult sauna in Madrid.

Enrique Ruiz Escudero, the region’s community health minister, said Friday that health officials had traced many of Spain’s 30 monkeypox cases to a single sauna in the capital.

Britain’s monkeypox tally now stands at 20 after 11 new cases were announced on Friday, and contact tracing and quarantine of close contacts are underway.

A “notable proportion” of cases in the UK and Europe are in gay and bisexual men, health officials said.

Should they close all wet markets, gay sauna's, cruising locations and swingersclubs? Extra tests for performers?

We don't know because less than 1500 cases have ever been investigated hence why WHO has called an emergency investigation. No one knows fuck all about this tropical virus despite what some "experts" are reporting, its all foo foo.

Exercise Summary

Developed in consultation with technical and policy experts, the fictional exercise scenario portrayed a deadly, global pandemic involving an unusual strain of monkeypox virus that first emerged in the fictional nation of Brinia and spread globally over 18 months. Ultimately, the exercise scenario revealed that the initial outbreak was caused by a terrorist attack using a pathogen engineered in a laboratory with inadequate biosafety and biosecurity provisions and weak oversight. By the end of the exercise, the fictional pandemic resulted in more than three billion cases and 270 million fatalities worldwide.

Discussions throughout the tabletop exercise generated a range of valuable insights and key findings. Most significantly, exercise participants agreed that, notwithstanding improvements following the global response to COVID-19, the international system of pandemic prevention, detection, analysis, warning, and response is woefully inadequate to address current and anticipated future challenges. Gaps in the international biosecurity and pandemic preparedness architecture are extensive and fundamental, undermining the ability of the international community to prevent and mount effective responses to future biological events—including those that could match the impacts of COVID-19 or cause damage that is significantly more severe.

Like Covid, keep an eye on who's making big bucks from it all.

To ignore that is to be naive.

Tasty1 05-22-2022 02:39 AM

Fatality ratio of 3% must be more deadly than Corona, depending on age group. For now it looks like they don't want to stop the spread by closing spreader events like sex party's, cruising zones, saunas, gay clubs, swingersclubs. Cause than they have to tell it spread now mostly in gay and bisexual men. And that sounds like homophobia. I bet they rather want to vaccinate everyone if there is a vaccin. Not for yourself, but against homofobia.

Stop it, lockdown all spreader locations for 1 month and keep your cock in your pants and it is over. Else it will spread fast now that the party season is starting around Europe. Or don't we want more lockdowns and accept the spread cause we can handle it for now? It is good the disease shows itself fast, not like aids where people had it long time without knowing. Or is there a simple test available, they say a PCR test could track it.. I bet the test equipment factories see the moneypox coming and willing to set up test locations.

Wondering when this monkeypox starts to mutate when hundreds of thousands have it... I am from the age where everyone got vaccine against smallpox. Can i now get a QR MonkeyPass code and not needed to test? Well, i will avoid sexparty's, not that difficult.

"Nigeria has been dealing with an outbreak of monkeypox since 2017 – there have been more than 500 suspected cases and over 200 confirmed cases in the country. According to the WHO, the case fatality ratio is around 3 per cent."

Tasty1 05-22-2022 03:52 AM

It is starting: The Dutch healthcare minister just qualified Monkeypox as "A-Status" that mean they can handle it like they did with Corona. Lockdowns, vaccination, etcetra.

For now they go after infividual cases and close contacts to test them and put them in quarantaine.

And there is something going on may 23 that the WHO will handle viruses. Countries delegated some power to WHO recently. But not sure about what is delegated and how.

The press publication (in Dutch)

Reporting monkey pox infection necessary to fight virus properly
News item | 21-05-2022 | 14:50

On May 20, 2022, the first infections with the monkeypox virus were also confirmed in the Netherlands. More infections are expected to be found in the coming days. The disease is today classified as A disease. This means that new infections or suspicions thereof must be reported immediately. This will prevent further spread of the virus.

The RIVM has advised to classify monkeypox as an A disease. Minister Kuipers of Health, Welfare and Sport is following this advice. This makes it mandatory for doctors to immediately report the disease and the suspicion thereof. In this way, new cases can be detected and isolated as early as possible and measures such as quarantine can also be taken for their contacts. It expressly concerns the approach of individual cases. No general collective measures are to be expected.

People with (a suspicion of) monkey pox are requested to go into isolation at home. They can be tested. If the test result is negative, the isolation can be lifted. If they are positive, they are asked to remain in isolation until the disease is no longer contagious. That is when the skin is completely healed.

Monkeypox outbreak: Drugmaker SIGA says EU authorities seeking to stockpile its smallpox antiviral

By Natalie Huet • Updated: 21/05/2022 - 08:52
A US pharmaceutical company says it’s in talks with European authorities seeking to stockpile its antiviral drug for monkeypox amid an unusual international outbreak of a virus that can be deadly in up to one in 10 cases.

SIGA Technologies, a health security firm whose research was funded by the US government to address the threat posed by biological weapons, has developed an antiviral known as tecovirimat to fight smallpox and related viruses, including monkeypox.

Tecovirimat was approved to treat smallpox in the United States, where it’s sold as TPOXX.

Earlier this year, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved tecovirimat not only for smallpox, but also for monkeypox and cowpox, which are caused by viruses belonging to the same family of orthopoxviruses.

BILTHOVEN - The GGD is asking people who have been in contact with or near someone who tested positive for the monkeypox virus to quarantine for up to three weeks. This is a precautionary measure, emphasizes a spokesperson for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), because much is still unclear about the virus.

If you're protected from mainstream media throughout Covid you'll be immune from MonkeyPox :winkwink:

They say a smallpox vaccine makes it milder. But we know they also said you can't spread corona after vaccination. And who knows, the Farmacy will do some new tests to sell their new vaccines and say the new vaccine is better. Mine is from 1972, they gave it to children till 1974 in Holland. You can see the mark on your upper arm if you had it. So no QR code needed. Maybe you can take a tatoo that looks like it.

That mark isn't from the smallpox vaccine, that's from tuberculosis vaccine. I have one and they stopped smallpox vaccinations in Poland 4 years before I was born.

An American knew he had it, but didn't want to spoil his vacation in Mexico and didn't go in quarantaine.
