PMs versus Visitor Messages
 

I have just looked at my visitor messages for the first time in a looooooonnnnggggggg time.

I kind of forget they exist because I don't get an alert when a visitor message is posted and I am rarely in looking at my own profile which is really the only way I know of to see visitor messages.

Private messages send an alert to my email and in addition, when I come into the page there is an announcement at the top of the page that I have a new PM.

So to the 5 of 6 people who have left me visitor messages that required a reply, my apologies for missing them but as I said above, I don't check them very often.

If you want to get a hold of me it is much better to leave me a PM.

Yes I check it rarely seems DM is disabled for every new user by default

They have to have 30 posts in order to use the pm system. That seems reasonable to me.

Doesn't take much work to get to 30 posts and 1 of those posts can be "Hey so and so, I would like to ask something".
