Owner of French porn site Jacquie et Michel is arrested over rape and pimping allegations and 'three male actors are detained for gang-rape' following claims women were abused on set

A major French porn site owner, his wife and three male porn stars were arrested over a flurry of rape and pimping allegations, prosecutors said on Tuesday.

Porn baron Michel Piron, 64, was detained for sexual assault and complicity in rape, pimping and human trafficking.

Three feminist groups who filed the complaints claim the industry is rife with sexual abuse of actresses, AFP reported.

France has always been making it hard for producers. Considering the people are so open minded, it is a pity.

Well not everyone is open minded unfortunately.
I think we're in France polarised like most other countries in the world : half of the people are progressist and open minded, the other half is conservatist/dumb/racist/radicalised in whatever form of idiocy.

And even if I'm wrong and French people happen to be more open minded that the rest of the world... that would still be a 60/40...

Next, we can also ask ourselves if the administrations and institutions are reflecting what the majority of people think or if they have their own colors... maybe they're more conservatist than the people themselves? Hard to tell :).
