A tip for uploading 4k vids or large files via Wi-Fi
 

Your probably going to say you know this, but...

For a few years now I have been very very very frustrated on how long it takes to upload 4k films to my sites using wifi.

The solution was to plug your pc directly into the modem, as it is sooooo much faster.

I had until last week presumed my wifi speed was the same as the modem thing.

I was even looking at seeing if I could get a faster broadband firm, even considered a dedicated line.

But it turns out, the simple solution is plug your pc directly into your modem.

As I say, most of you probably know this, but if you do not, this may be some help to you.

You can also plug your iphone and ipad directly, but you will need to get one or two bits to convert it from the iphone socket to the network cable type thing.

As I say, I presumed wifi was as fast as your broadband.

You can also upgrade from 802.11b or 802.11g

Your solution is not a solution on how to upload via wifi faster.

So in summary, tip for uploading via wifi is...don't use wifi?

I have no idea what system I am on.

But to plug it in directly, is simple.

What if I'm using my neighbor's wifi though? Do I need to break in, and string a cable out his window?

Drill a hole in the wall.

I did that to get next doors electricity.

Probably the same people who need to be told if you are getting dropped calls on your cell phone, the fix is to use a land line.

5G routers & modern WIFI is sufficient uploading 4K, large packets & content, no problems.
