Skype Hacker
A contact's Skype account just got hacked. The hacker changed my contact's avatar and is asking me to pay him for everything owed. Not sure if he has access to our history, but the funny thing is I do actually owe this contact some money.
He wants money upfront, $1000 to his Paxum account. Paxum, if you're reading, please take notice. His account is: [email protected] He's sending me weird messages like this: Please pay now. We give new Account Information. For now we want Paxum. Please pay upfront. No Skype. We will continue via Email. Please tell us your Email to proceed with Payment. Upfront Payment or no more Business! How much money do you owe us for the work done? If you pay NOW by Paxum we won't add any fee's. Pay 1000$ and ok! you good [email protected] You pay now and we are good. |
Sooooo.... A Skype hacker?

This friend of mine still hasn't recovered his Skype account. He's also not answering my emails since this happened. He lives overseas and I don't have his number, so I can't get in touch with him. It's all very weird.
He's a GFY user but I'm a bit hesitant to post his name, yet. |
What could have happened to him?

So I contacted Skype LIVE support. They asked for screenshots of the conversation where the hacker asks me for money and another screenshot of their profile. They have blocked the account until my friend is able to recover it.
My friend is still not answering emails, so it's all still kind of weird. |

Is it possible that "your friend" is broke as shit and "hacked" his own account to demand money? Asking for a friend. :uhoh |
