Cool hunting - Tonkatsu Sinclair
 

In 2008, VOD company Midnite Videos was my publicity client. They only had one thing that set them apart, which was they specialized in HD VOD. And to be candid, they were getting older content and hadn't even gone live yet. So Sherry and I needed something that could be developed that could draw attention to them on no budget.

On a copy of Flash, I began animating a surly & cynical hentai dropout named Midnite Sally. Sally was a newscaster for the latest on the adult industry and new content at Midnite Videos.

The project was very time intensive and I had no animation experience at this point. We had a handful of clips done when the economy crashed and Midnite threw in the towel. This week, I've had the affirmation that I should have kept going with the project.

There's V-tuber who popped up on radar named Tonkatsu Sinclair, created and voiced by Absolute Unit. Like Sally, Tonkatsu is a hentai burnout with PTSD from tentacle wrangling.

The first time I saw these I had to hold back on pounding my desk in laughter.

Watching Tonkatsu is a riot as AU has taken it further with his chain smoking east coast voice. It's like watching the love child of Projekt Melody & Doctor Girlfriend of Venture Brothers.

In this V-tuber's gunsights are anime videos, hentai, weeaboos (I did not even know what that was until watching), V-tubing, and culture. I love how she calls out an High Guardian Spice as racist because it's clearly Americanized form of hentai blackface.
