Are Tokens Still Good Website Currency or Better to use Straight Fiat and/or Crypto?
I been messing around with a new project and hoping to get some feedback from any OGs still left here.
Basically niche social network...nothing too wild and crazy. Users can buy clips, send tips and beat their meat. It sounds appealing to me for user to buy token package and spend accordingly on the site but is that too dated? Would tokens make for less chargebacks? Or is it better for $1 to just be $1 and process credit card each time they want to buy something? Should crypto be an option? thanks for your input:thumbsup |
Just copy whatever ManyVids is doing

IMHO Tokens are better, because it lets you offer for instance 100 tokens for $10 or 210 tokens for $20. Offering $21 for $20 seems a little fucked.

Think like a user - what are they choosing. If the majority are going with tokens then do that OR if the majority are use to dealing with tokens then make them feel comfortable.
As was pointed out ManyVids and others use tokens and if your clients are comfortable then fine. If you're currently offering both then you can easily decide which one has more power than the other. |
