Have you ever got your home or office access blocked by movie production?

I was returning home from night fun time and there was a block on street where i wanted to enter to reach my place for a night but it was blocked by security guards and police and then i tried to enter same street like from 3x different entries but blockage was there too till i finally one free and as result it took around half or one hour til i found a way to get back. So this kind a pissed me off so i dont think i will go to see that movie once it gets out lol.

They rarely stop me since they assume I must one of the actors and if they do I shoot them a look as if I will massacre their entire bloodline. Works every time.

I have blocked streets in Prague including Charles bridge and Kampa :thumbsup

But there are rules. The City stipulates:

1) Production must inform ALL businesses and residents about the closure well in advance.
2) Production must NOT obstruct emergency vehicles
3) With respect to residents " too bad just, a foot traffic".
4) Business closures must be compensated.

City makes millions ( crowns) from this, PLUS all the OT for the police, city workers and from increased tourism.

There's filming every day where I lived in downtown Vancouver, was really fucking annoying trying to find parking when multiple blocks are reserved with the neon yellow movie pylons.

I was involved with the closure of parts of downtown LA in 2003, for the filming of the firetruck chase sequence in Terminator 3 - We had rented our studio space to their production.

That's nothing. I was driving in the middle of nowhere in Iceland and was stopped by road block. Turns out, they were filming episode of Black Mirror. Ended up throwing rocks in to crystal clear lake for 3 hours waiting for them to finish. Then drove up to the set and hang out with crew and actors.
In the movie, you can actually see our car at the bottom of the hill.

Don't you wish it was some kind of "dirty jobs" episode that deals with poo and honey buckets?

That was a great episode and a great setting for it.

All the fucking time, its usually because they're filming some Anne Rice vampire type bullshit in the Quarter right outside my fucking condo unit

Last week they were filming something to do with sharks, not quite sure what that has to do with the French Quarter, but to each their own.

This week its more Anne Rice bullshit.

That's more like the content I create myself, at home - No need to shut streets and inconvenience people :thumbsup

We were on tight schedule driving around Iceland but it was so beautiful out there, we did not regret a bit. Came home really late and crashed. With all the fresh air we were in bed by 9pm almost every day.

The funny thing is that I knew most of the places they filmed the episode and some of them are not anywhere near each other as suggested in the show.
The part they were filming is when they toss the body off the cliff.
