What the name of what I need to be looking into as far php coding goes for this please?

Drip feed is what we usually call it.

Lets take a step back, because there's two different possible things here.
One is a scheduled post, the other is a posting schedule thats made on an offset based on the user's join date (so join +1 day, join+3 days, etc). The first is a publishing schedule, the second is a drip feed.

Scheduled posts is correct because you are making posts and you have Scheduled the posts.
