Let's talk about SEO in porn
Content is king apparently. That might be the case in mainstream but we constantly find low quality sites topping Google search rankings with hardly any text and ads blowing up your phone browser
Is there one rule for mainstream and porn is like the wild west? |
Simple rules follow all sites.
Content + backlinks + User Engagement + Freshness = Better ranking. |

There are too many factors to give statements like we just did, but links are still number one. I am looking at shit sites ranking from nowhere just based on link building. It is not even a question of quality. Another example, I was in top 3 for some targeted keywords in the cams niche. As soon as PBN links were lost, the position never came back. Just look at all those stupid and useless link lists. They are not giving anything useful to the user but still, ranking high. There are plenty of much better-optimized pages for these keywords. |

Sorry to say this, but they are not. In fact, they will be less and less important factor in the coming days. |

i cannot proof it, but i think site metrics like time on site play a secondary role on smaller sites, i guess google also needs to take care about their energy consumption and so decided to scale down analytics , at least if you are not engaged voluntary within their site analytics services . i never participated in their analytics program and i had sites that went totally bonkers due to ssl errors in chrome for several month while they worked fine in firefox...and site metrics should have been terrible because chrome users couldn see the content of my site, but they didnt loose any positions, thats why i come to that conclusion. there are only 2 ways to explain this: 1. much less people then is told are using chrome , or 2. they do not rank, measure via site metrics for sites that do not participate voluntary within their analytics program.

I feel like Google groups all adult sites into one basket and then decides to give them all more or all less depending on the update.

You may get loads of traffic from 10 good links and won't get any traffic from 1000s of bad links. Quality > Quantity.. this is thumbrule for money sites. for tier 2 / tier 3 links, you can spam away.. |

What's your opinion on links coming from sites without HTTPS certificate? Shall we ignore them?

what qualifies a good backlink
How would you guys qualify for a good backlink? If we buy links in the footer of headers is that good? or should it be in blogs?
Curious to know what you think |

Another difference between adult and mainstream is that Google presumably never manually checks adult sites. I can't see them employing somebody to quality check the top shemale porn sites, for example.
